Abi looked at the frowning woman with a gulp. She regretted trusting her maid so easily.
"I am Abigail." She did not dare to use the second name when the old woman narrowed her eyes on her.
She adjusted her glass again as if she was not sure of what she was seeing. She gasped when the image in front of her did not change.
"I was told that you can help me. I didn't know that I was trespassing. Please forgive me." she whispered when the old woman came to her in hurried steps. She wanted to take a step back but the young girl and picked up the fork at some point and pointed it at Abi. it would hit straight at her waist if he moved backwards. What kind of life was this?
"I mean no harm, let me go." she whimpered when the old woman pinched her cheeks hard. Her hands itched to punch the woman back but she controlled. "Let me go and I will forget I have ever met you."
