Abi walked slowly, taking in all the details of the vast study room. It was not so different from Dion's study when it came to layout. Large shelves full of books covering each wall. With a big table in the middle.
It had files, parchment, nibs and a small family portrait in the corner with two large chairs on both sides.
Behind it there was a large window that made sure the table was full of light even when the sconces on the wall decided to betray the reader.
Her uncle sat there with a big frown on his face. He looked grim as he continued to read the letter in his hands. Abi coughed to make her presence known.
The man raised his head and rubbed his forehead.
"Come, sit Abigail." she hesitated for a second looking at worried lines on his forehead. Not sure if that was the right time for them to talk.
