"The evening is beautiful. It would be a waste to spend it in your room. Would you like to go for a walk? " Jamie leaned on the wall near the door and looked at Abi with a smiling face.
He had been at ease with her from the start as if they have been family since forever. The ease made her comfortable but at the same time her defense started to kick in. she told herself they were not needed but her body reacted like that instinctively.
"Are you cold?" he asked when she jerked suddenly. Abi rolled her eyes. It was not cold, it was you. She wanted to tell him, but ignored it and stood straight.
He looked at her and then at the banister where she was leaning before and looking at the moon.
"Why did you come directly to your room? We could have had tea together." he walked closer when she did not move from her place.
