-Chapter 108-

"Cersei Lannister, I would have thought you'd have the decency to wait until I was dressed and sufficiently drunk for us to have this conversation," I said, slightly irritated because I had a pretty good idea about the subjects that were to follow in our discussion.

She smiled, not at all deterred by my grumpy demeanor, and said while looking at Alayaya, "You may leave, I'll take it from here."

I frowned, and Alayaya looked at me; I eventually gestured for her to obey, and she left after a short curtsy.

I sat on my bed nonchalantly and said, "Cersei, I'm going to be very honest with you, agreeing to make Joffrey the Earl of Castamere and the heir to Casterly Rock was the biggest mistake in judgment I've made since I took the crown, and I regret it every day since I received the letter announcing the death of my Hand, your father."

She didn't seem troubled, and then she said, "I know, I'm fully aware, but I can keep Joffrey under control."

"Joffrey under control...What a joke."

"He has changed, changed a lot."

"I know he has changed, I know the trials he endured as a bastard shaped him, and I also know that Tywin has taken your son under his wing to instill some sense into him, I'm already aware of all this but...it's Joffrey."

"What is that supposed to mean?" she said.

I rolled my eyes and said, "You know what it means, don't ask me to explain it; it will be more painful than anything you're already imagining."

Just when I thought I had managed to anger her, she burst into laughter, and then she said:

"I understand, I would have done the same in your place."

It was my turn to laugh and say, "Cersei, we both know you would have done much worse in my place."

She didn't deny it, and then she said, "What can I do to convince you?"

"Really nothing, I won't grant Joffrey control of the Westerlands or any fief to your eldest, making him a Lannister was already too generous on my part," I said.

'And especially I did it to keep your father under control, not your pet monster hiding his madness,' I thought as I looked at her.

She nodded and then advanced towards me, placed her hand on my cheek before climbing onto my lap.

I immediately understood where this was going; I could have stopped her right then and sent her back where she came from, but I was hungry and had been starving for far too long.

I finally let myself be carried away, simply enjoying the present moment.

She skillfully removed my robe while I tore off her magnificent red dress adorned with golden lions, and we quickly found ourselves naked on my bed.

She plunged her emerald green orbs into my eyes and then pushed me onto my bed and leaned down to kiss me; I took advantage of the kiss to use a bit of strength to flip her over and find myself on top.

"You've awakened the dragon, little lioness," I said with a predatory smile as I pounced on my prey.

-POV Ser Barristan-

"I want to bear your child," screamed the dethroned queen loudly enough that one could hear her even through the door.

It wasn't the first time the former queen decided to play her charms with King Aegon, but it was the first time he gave in to her advances, knowing full well that Jaime would hear everything.

I decided to test my brother-at-arms and asked, "Does it not bother you?"

He didn't turn his gaze towards me but said, "I knew it would happen, just didn't know when, since we were children she's always had everything she wanted, there's only one way for her to become Queen again."

"It's treason."

"No, it's Cersei," he said, smiling bitterly without any real amusement.

I didn't want to twist the knife further, so I remained silent, waiting for the king to finish his task with Cersei Lannister so we could escort her to the banquet in her honor.
