-Chapter 140-

-3rd POV-

A silhouette flew out of the tent of the king from beyond the wall, Mance Rayder, and violently crashed into a tree.

The person's back broke with a loud noise and they fell back to the ground, motionless and unconscious.

For a second, everyone was stunned, their eyes fixed on the person who had crashed into the tree.

They were so shocked by what had just happened that they didn't even notice King Aegon Targaryen slowly emerge from Mance Rayder's tent.

The young king advanced, unhurriedly, as if he were in his own military camp before snapping everyone out of the daze they were in with a deep sigh.

"It's really sad that you had to make me use force, my dear friend, I am a man of peace, I have shed enough blood this year for a lifetime, but that by no means implies that I am not prepared to do it again," said King Aegon while lighting a fireball in the palm of his hand.

The closest warriors of the free people to Aegon Targaryen stepped back slightly upon seeing the flame in the hands of the young king, and the latter smiled while raising his hand towards the unconscious body of Jarl.

"Stop!" yelled Val, brandishing her spear menacingly.

Aegon Targaryen turned towards the shout and raised an eyebrow, curious to hear what the beautiful young sister of Mance Rayder's wife had to say.

"I stole this man, he is mine, I forbid you to kill him," said the beautiful young blonde with blue eyes dressed in a white and gold tunic.

The king's gaze lingered on the young woman's body for a few seconds.

"Are you going to stop me?" said the king, his gaze still on Val.

A fleeting trace of nostalgia appeared for a few seconds before he turned around and said, looking at the man in critical condition who had awakened from his unconscious state and was now looking at him, scared and helpless: "It's sad, but I do not easily forgive those who point their swords at me."

Once his words were finished, the orange fireball transformed into a green fireball and mercilessly engulfed the immobile form of Jarl.

The latter screamed for a few seconds and then his cries died out, less than a minute later, all that was left of him were black charred bones smoking, starkly contrasting with the pristine white ground covered in snow.

A loud cry rang out as Val charged at Aegon, who turned around unhurriedly, he calmly dodged the tip of Val's spear by stepping aside, he did not counter her attack, allowing Val the illusion that the young king could not counter her attacks.

Spear thrust after spear thrust, Val continued trying to pierce Aegon's head, after about a dozen dodges, the latter finally grabbed Val's spear and then delivered a powerful low-kick to her, severely unbalancing her with a blow that made her lose her footing.

Aegon released the spear connecting him to Val at the same moment he kicked her, completely unbalancing her and making her land headfirst in the snow.

Aegon Targaryen smiled and said to the young woman, "If I were a man of your people, I would have stolen you, you are a strong woman, it's very rare to see women of your caliber, I spare your life this time."

Val clenched her teeth and stood up abruptly, fury still present in her eyes, but the king simply pushed his hand towards the ground, creating a sudden air pressure that forced Val to go back to eating snow.

"Don't look at me with those frightening eyes, I might just wet myself," said the king in an amused tone.

"JON, WHAT ARE YOU DOING? DO YOU WANT A WAR TO BREAK OUT?"

Aegon looked at the king beyond the wall and walked away without responding to his older counterpart, the king frowned at this lack of respect but before he could say anything a snow bear appeared and charged straight at King Aegon Targaryen.

-POV MC-

I frowned as I saw a snow bear charging straight at me and immediately realized it was a Warg deciding to attack me.

I smiled softly then performed a 3-meter acrobatic jump without a run-up, jumping over the bear's head which crashed into the tree right behind me.

I drew my sword in mid-air and infused it with my mana, Lightbringer instantly transformed from its original cherry red color to a glowing color like that of heated metal, without taking a second to admire the beauty of my blade, I cleanly cut off the bear's neck and landed on my feet just as the head of the snow bear did.

I felt an arrow bounce off my Valyrian steel armor, which made me frown, then I placed a telekinetic shield on my back to block the sneaky attacks of archers coming from behind.

Once one of them had the courage to attack me, they all started attacking together, I didn't have time to think before a wildling tried to pierce my armor with a bronze spear.

I dodged the bronze spear which planted itself in the ground behind me, then I lifted my leg and suddenly slammed my foot down, breaking the wooden part of the spear.

I plunged my sword into the belly of the assailant who instantly caught fire as if his blood were made of oil.

Without getting distracted, I parried another assailant's sword, kicked him in the chest while blocking another sword, the man who received my kick was propelled back several meters and he knocked over others like a bowling ball.

Seeing that soldiers were flooding in and trying to encircle me, I ignited my sword with green flames and sliced through the air, creating a wave of fire that engulfed all the enemies in front of me.

The space in front of me cleared and all those who were still within 5 meters backed off, a giant approached menacingly but Mance Rayder yelled, "MAGG, STOP!"

The giant sniffed then stopped and Mance Rayder stepped forward and said, "What you're doing is provoking an unnecessary war among us."

I looked at him and said, pointing with my sword at all the people gathered who had been frozen since they saw me use my special attack which I hadn't yet named.

"A war, you say? Look at yourself, look at your men, they no longer have the will to fight and I'm all alone," I said with a scornful smile.

I shook my head then looked up at the sky where Rhaegal had landed on the ground and roared menacingly at the wildlings.

DRAGON'S ROAR

"It's up to you to decide now, Mance Rayder, if you ever want your people to survive, if you really want to save them, you'll have to put your pride aside, otherwise, it will be the end of your people. I'm waiting for your answer in 5 days, once the deadline is passed, I will consider you and all yours as my enemies," he said
