"Have you reinforced security?" I asked Dean, who nodded in affirmation.
"Great, then we just have to get ready."
"I've also informed Alpha Kane. He's on his way here."
"Thank you, Dean. Now let's just hope Tom doesn't surprise us." I sighed, sinking into the couch. The exhaustion from a sleepless night weighed heavily on me. Since we received the second note from Tom, my mind had been racing. And thoughts of Razor plagued me—he should be here, beside me, defending our pack.
Dean started to head out of the living room, but his slumped shoulders caught my attention.
"Are you alright, Dean?" I asked.
He turned back to me, a troubled expression on his face. "Yes, Luna, I'm just... I don't know. I should have known about all this. I was the one who gave the false news of our alpha's death."
"It's not your fault, Dean. You were genuinely convinced he was dead."
