"I'm so glad you're back, Chris, and I'm sorry about Tara. I know how you felt about her."
"Thank you, Luna," Chris replied, his eyes downcast. "I truly appreciate it. And she asked me to apologize to you. She truly regretted all her actions. You don't have to forgive her, but I thought you deserved to hear it." His voice was solemn.
"It's alright, Chris. I don't hold any grudges against her anymore," I reassured him.
"Thank you Luna. I have to go take care of things at the pack house until the boss returns."
"I'd totally forgotten about that. So we're going back there soon?"
"Yes," Chris nodded. "Everything is back in order."
"Alright then."
Chris nodded and walked away. I made my way to the kitchen, grabbed a glass of water from the counter, and went to the living room. There, I saw Cross conversing with Anna.
"Here, have this," I said, handing the glass to Anna.
