"There she is," Kelsey announced, pushing Lisa forward and crossing her arms. "I found her in the woods, hiding behind a tree."
Lisa looked at the floor nervously. Her dress was torn, and her hair was disheveled.
"How did you know she was missing?" Razor asked.
"I saw her sneaking out of the mansion and followed her from behind. She was lucky that the rogues didn't see her."
"Why did you run away, Lisa?" Razor asked in a low, controlled voice.
"I'm so sorry, Alpha Razor," Lisa apologized, straightening her back. "I just feel like a burden here. I didn't mean to cause any worries."
Razor sighed, observing her for a moment. His disappointment was palpable, matching my own. I knew Lisa's attempt to run away had something to do with Cross, but still, I thought we were getting closer.
