Chapter 66 - Ch-2- Home Sweet Home

Previously, when I used the system to build something, it was already a minor spectacle that you would never be able to see. But this time, it was a cone on a large scale. The materials placed in a pile off to the side started to rumble as bars of metal, planks of wood, and chunks of stone flew into the air. As they were flying, they were shaved, hammered, chiseled, and shaped into new forms to fit what was needed. It was then that they were guided toward the ground and into the forming buildings, where they would stay until the building itself was destroyed.

Due to the size of the compound, this continuous construction lasted for a while. Thankfully, it started with the main house that we would be living in, even if there was a servant's quarters placed next to the kitchen, which was to the left of the house. To the right of the house was a library and office, followed by a guest house for visitors. Directly opposite the house was an entry and greeting hall acting as a gate to the living area of the compound. All of these buildings were connected together with walls that formed a large octagonal courtyard that housed a simple garden in the middle.

Off to the side of my new courtyard house was a massive garden that housed a shrine in the center. The entire garden was surrounded by a wall that acted more like a tall fence. It was not made of solid material but carved wood and stone, which acted more like a fancy demarcation line than a deterrent. This was because the shrine was supposed to be open to the public and not hidden away from prying eyes. Sadly, the shrine felt rather empty because of both the lack of plants and the lack of any other statues.

The reason behind there being no other statues is that I am waiting to find out if there are any other gods or goddesses that seem interested in this. I know that there were other gods, and some that were even friendly to Elinaria, but I had no clue what they looked like as I had never met them. For most people, that would be a good thing, But when you are trying to build a shrine, you should include as many other gods as possible.

Next to the shrine gardens is a large warehouse-like building with a few power poles outside already strung with wire. Walking inside from the front, you are greeted by an entry hall that looks like a modern-day business. Walking down the hallways that branch off the Entry hall, you will pass multiple private workspaces before exiting into a large open space. This space was already set up to run heavy machinery, and I could not wait to start. The only problem this building had was no way to reliably generate power. If only there was some sort of easy formation I could use to fix that.

That thought made me eager to research and create, especially now that I knew there were multiple tech trees and I was only using one. However, I had to hold myself back and continue with the walkaround.

Next to the workshop was a multi-car garage set with places for car lifts to go in once I either researched or purchased them through the tech tree. Even if I did not have any cars right now, I had already unlocked the combustion engine and was one step away from there. I then remembered that I had a lot of tech points after the new system was installed. It was then that my mind reminded me that I did not have any of the machines or equipment to refine the materials, let alone make the parts.

This put a wrench in my plans as well as my mood. Walking out of the garage I went out to the front and saw the disciple Riley still standing there. She was just looking at the compound with a shocked and amazed look on her face, with Kaya standing behind her. Kaya had the same look on her face but it was to a lesser degree. Still, with her standing there and not paying attention to me for the moment, I was able to get a better look at her.

She was what most cultivation stories would call a jade beauty with shiny black hair and sapphire blue eyes. She was wearing a modified light purple robe with gold timing on the edges. On the shoulder and back, an embroidered silver representation of a glacier carving the mountains was on display. The only people I saw wearing robes with these colors were the elders in the main hall on the day I entered the Sect.

Using this, I assumed that Kaya was an elder, so I tried not to say anything. I still walked up to her, tapped her on the shoulder to get her attention, and then pointed to Riley. Initially, she seemed angry that I caught her in this situation, but she seemed to understand and calm down when she looked at where I was pointing. It was then that she did the same thing I did but to her disciple.

This brought forth an amusing interaction between the two. The elder stood there as Riley freaked out for a few minutes before Kaya said something about not having seen the world or something. I did not say anything and chose to keep silent, letting Riley think that Kaya was not in the same position as her a moment ago. It was then that I offered to take them for a small tour, and they accepted almost immediately.

Only the buildings themselves were here with no furnishings as they were just built, but I explained everything that buildings were used for and how the rooms were meant to be used. When we reached the garden with all the empty flower beds and places for trees. It was only when we reached the red-stained gates and lattice walls that made up the shrine itself with the statue of Elinaria in the center that the gardens stopped looking depressing and abandoned and more like unfinished.

After explaining the use for this area Kaya asked for more detail about Elinaria and what she was the goddess of. She even asked some questions about doctrine and tenants that I had no clue about. It was when I said that it was the goddess that reincarnated me and that she was fairly new that she started to understand. Then, she created a tree made entirely out of ice and placed it into the ground next to the shrine. She then turned to leave, saying that she would like if I could send a copy of those things she asked about to the Glacial peak.

All that was left for the tour was the workshop, and I also had multiple benches and machines that needed to be placed down. Thankfully, it would not take long, so I did it while giving the tour. This time, they were not in awe as much (Only Kaya), so I was able to continue the walk around.

When the tour was over, Kaya said she was impressed by the compound that was made for only one person and then invited me to visit the glacial peak for a tour. Then, both Riley and Kaya got on the ice boat and flew off.

After that, I walked over to the library and started placing all the research copies of the techniques on the shelves. While doing this, I labeled the shelves based on realm and type. Sadly, I was not able to continue making labels for the shelves as I only knew the names of the first three realms and the next realm after that technique was mentioned in them. After that, I placed both of the techniques I made on the desk.

From there, I left the building and went to the house, only to find that Raina and Yuki were decorating the whole house. Walking around them I entered the kitchen and started making some stuffed backed potatoes as I had not had them in a while. For these, I used some meat that Lou Xia's parents gifted me as it was the only meat I had. I believe it was some sort of cow or an equivalent higher beast.

When the potatoes were done, I called over to the two, who were so busy furnishing the house that they missed me walking in. When Yuki arrived, she had a small meltdown because she was supposed to be the one serving me and not the other way around, but I shut her up by telling her that what she was doing earlier was more important. When the meal was finished, they told me that the bedrooms were ready to be used and that I could relax at any time.

I was very excited to sleep on the new holy mountain for the first time.
