Chapter 27 - Chapter 26 : Welcome home

Victor:

"Victor enters the house."

Hello my dear and tender Lize.

If you agree, I'll put these two unfortunate, seriously injured people down so that they can be treated.

"He goes to Lize's bed and puts Rebecca down, then he puts Edward down on a bed in another room on the ground floor."

"After that, he sits down at the large kitchen table all out of breath and tired."

Lize:

"Lize notices the blood on Victor's clothes."

What happened to you to have so much blood on you,

teacher ?

And you look very tired on top of that, did you have to kill bad people again during your journey in the middle of the night?

Victor:

Please don't talk to me I'm splitting my head with everything that's happened, what you just need to know is that I'm going to sleep and leave as soon as I wake up.

Your job will be to look after this boy and this girl and keep them here until they recover completely physically.

I leave you the choice to keep them at home for a long time or not, it's up to you.

When they get over it, you can very well teach them certain things, I saw that they were too weak to defend themselves so it's up to you too.

Now I'm going to sleep, please don't disturb me.

"He suddenly puts his head on the table and quickly falls asleep from fatigue, instantly falling into a deep sleep."

Lize:

"Lize smiled at the way Victor quickly explained instructions."

Always so expeditious when it comes to explaining things quickly, hee hee.

(If he's asking me to do all this, it's probably because he must have a lot of missions to do in Richmond.

Poor teacher, even when he is tired, he has to overcome all this workload alone without being able to do anything.

The least I can do is make sure to help him, so that at least he can be calm and serene before going back there.)

"Lize first goes to Rebecca to see her condition."

"She carefully examines her wounds without touching the bandages, she only looks at the color of the bandages."

(It seems like a pretty serious injury considering where she was hit but fortunately, professor Victor took care of them, her wounds will only need to heal over time little by little.

To heal head injuries, there is no better healer than professor Victor after all, his power of void can very easily heal brain or skull injuries.

It will probably take a while, but I don't think there's much I can do to treat her other than use some cream or herbs to ease the pain, if her wounds are too painful to bear.)

"This time, she goes to the bedroom where Edward is, to also examinate his wounds."

(Same observation for him, it's good to know that both have injuries that will heal fairly quickly if recovery goes well.

I suppose after seeing them closer that no organs are directly affected other than the brain, it means that they'll probably not have to suffer even more during their convalescence here.

I think I'll just act as host for these two if I have nothing to offer them at that point, hehe.

It's not too bad then.

I'm just going to take advantage of my time to study the writings that professor Victor wrote for me, on the knowledge he has in medicine while waiting for them to wake up.

An entire morning has passed

"Victor woke up around 3 p.m., prepared his things for his new trip, and told this to Lize, before leaving."

Victor:

Don't be too hard on them if they ever annoy you or are slow to understand things, I say this in advance for training since I am convinced that you will train them no matter what I tell you.

See you next time my dear student.

"He greets her with his hand, giving a fake smile full of uncertainties, uncertainties that Lize does not see, like always, before opening the door."

Lize:

"Standing near the sofa in the living room, she greets him back while smiling"

See you next time, professor, take care of yourself.

"While she was still greeting him, he closed the door behind him and left on his way to Richmond."

"After he leaves, Lize closes the door with the house key, hanging near the door, on a small metal hook."

"She then picks up where she left off on her reading, sitting down."

3 hours later

Edward:

"Edward gradually opens his eyes, slowly waking up."

"As soon as he could see properly, he immediately wondered what was going on."

(Where am I?

I don't recognize this place.)

"He looks around him before looking at his own body."

(I see, I must have been saved by someone after our fight with that psycho, it's a relief that I didn't die after what happened to us.)

"He tries to move, in vain, he feels unbearable pain when moving, in his head and stomach, which prevents him from continuing to move as he had just done."

Aouch !

(It seems like, just like the time I ran away from the flying village, I'm unable to move without hurting myself due to the wounds I carried from the fight.

Nothing to do then, I'll give up on the idea of getting up.)

Bwhorwr!

"Edward's stomach starts making noises."

(I believe that with this pressure released following the fight, my body wants to tell me that I need to eat something.

It's true that suddenly I'm hungry, it's probably because of all the void energy I used.

If Rufus hadn't knocked me out, I probably would have passed out from exhaustion since I had used up all the void energy I kept stored in my head.

I should call the person who saved me to ask for food while asking where Rebecca is, to see if she is alive and if she is being treated like me or not.)

Excuse me, is there anyone!

"Not far in the living room, Lize while reading on the sofa, hears Edward's cry."

Lize:

Oh you're awake!

Wait a second, I'm coming to see you.

"Lize places the notebook she was consulting on the sofa, then comes to see Edward, opening the door to the bedroom where he stayed."

Hello young man, I'm glad to see that you were able to wake up without any worries.

Don't your injuries hurt too much?

Edward:

As long as I don't move around too much, the pain isn't really there, but otherwise no, I don't really hurt while lying in this position.

Lize:

"Lize smiles"

Good, I'm relieved to hear that.

You must be hungry aren't you, would you like some hard-boiled eggs with a little bread and water?

I don't have much in the way of simple food to prepare for you, I prefer to give you something nutritious and easy to eat.

Edward:

I'm not really in a position to contest, make me dream with what you have, it will be more than enough for me.

But be careful, I expect it to be delicious.

Lize:

Hee hee, the sense of humor hasn't been lost from what I see, that's good news.

I'm going to prepare this for you and your friend, so she can also eat quickly if she wakes up like you, very hungry.

Oh, and by the way, don't worry too much about her.

She's slowly healing like you, it's only a matter of time before she wakes up like you did.

Edward:

(Rebecca is alive, what a relief to hear that.)

"Edward just thought."

Hold on.

Lize:

"Lize was preparing to leave for the kitchen, before being interrupted by Edward"

What's the matter ?

Edward:

I felt that you don't speak to me in a familiar way, it bothers me a bit.

I mean, we look like we're the same age so let's be familiar with each other, okay?

Do the same thing with Rebecca, I'm sure she would be even more embarrassed than me if you talk to her like a stranger.

So, when you'll finish, give me your name and I'll give you mine.

Lize:

"Lize smiled, as if she was happy to hear that."

I will speak to you familiarly then.

If that's all, I'm going to the kitchen to prepare some food for you.

"Lize goes into the kitchen on the ground floor then starts to cook."
