Chapter 10 - Chapter 9 : Finding patience in an impatient situation

Rebecca:

"During this wait, Rebecca stretches her arms with fatigue."

Aaahf!

(I feel like I'm going to be bored today, for once I can't even distract myself in the village by playing because I have to stay here, I feel the mental suffering coming.)

"Rebecca, being bored, observes Edward's clothes out of a desire to stop always looking at the forest to pass the time."

(I've never seen this kind of clothes before, they look a bit weird compared to the ones I'm used to seeing.

Maybe he's not from the southern United States but from somewhere else.

I don't know, in any case they seem to be in total disrepair given the state of the fabric, I wonder what he could have gone through to have clothes in such a catastrophic state.

I guess we'll just have to ask him when he wakes up from his faint and is recovered enough to be able to speak properly, in the meantime I'm going to have a very boring day.

But it's for a good cause, it's to prevent someone who looks my age from dying, that's the main thing.

Anyway, things were off to a good start this morning, unfortunately, I can't help but think that this day is going to be very long.)

"After all this waiting, Ludo appears twenty minutes later, bringing everything he was going to need."

Ludo:

I brought everything I needed to make him hold.

Now that we've solved the biggest problem, finding someone to treat him, we need to clean his wounds with water and put bandages on him.

"He cleans all the young man's wounds with water, lifting him up whenever necessary, after finishing he says to Rebecca."

Here, Rebecca.

"He hands him two rolls of bandages and ten dressings, while he also takes two rolls for himself but a few more dressings."

You take care of putting bandages on his wounds and wrapping the wounds on his stomach with the bandages, I will do the same for his upper and lower back.

Make the bandages tight enough so that the wounds do not reopen, but do not tighten too tightly, just enough so that the wounds do not reopen.

Rebecca:

I'll try.

"They both apply dressings and bandages to the wounds."

Ludo:

(Finished.)

"After the work was finished for both of them, Ludo said while remaining seated on the ground."

Rebecca, since we're going to be here for a long time, would you like to listen to some stories?

Rebecca:

For once, it doesn't bother me.

(I'm really desperate at this point to want to fill the boredom I feel like, it's really not a funny situation for me, seriously.)

But Dad, you talked about infections earlier, don't you think it's still dangerous to leave him there?

Ludo:

It still is but we limited the damages by placing it on the cover after we lifted it.

It's better than nothing I know, but from now on only Victor can save him from death.

"Ludo caresses Rebecca's head."

We did what we could, Rebecca.

Rebecca:

"With a perplexed face, she responds."

If you say so, Dad.

Ludo:

Don't worry, if he wakes up, be sure that he will repay you for everything you did for him, I'm sure of it.

Chase away these thoughts by listening to the wonderful stories of a bunch of villagers from the south of the country, the stories that you hate listening to so much.

I assure you that you are missing something.

Rebecca:

"Rebecca only shows a fake smile to her father."

(I feel like I'm going to have fun, yeah really.)

"The two hunters waited as planned for quite a long time, both remained near Edward until mid-afternoon, the time for Victor to appear among them."

"After several hours of riding on horseback, Victor finally arrives in the village under a magnificent sun which radiates the landscape with its beautiful bursts of light."

"He left the horse that had transported him chained to an old electric pole still standing by a rope in the same street as Ludo's inn."

Victor:

(Ludo must be at his inn, I'll go and see.)

"He went to his inn but could only see a small wooden sign hanging on the door with the writing closed."

(It looks like he's not inside the village, I'm going to go see the village chief to be sure, surely Ludo told him where he went.)

"Victor quickly went to the village chief's house, from there he knocked on his door just like Ludo had done earlier."

Is there anyone ?

"The door opens after Victor knocks, the village chief remained behind his door, near Victor."

Derrick:

You must be Victor, right?

Victor:

Indeed, I'm looking for Ludo, the hostel manager.

Derrick:

"The village chief points to the place that Ludo told him."

He's over there, all the way south of the village towards this forest.

Victor:

Thanks for the information, if you don't mind, I'll go see it.

"He then rushes towards the direction shown by the village chief, after a certain time of running, he arrives near Ludo and Rebecca."

"When Victor's silhouette began to emerge in their eyes, Ludo and Rebecca were able to recognize him, they saw him running towards them, putting an end to the wait of several hours."

Ludo:

"Ludo and Rebecca got up to greet him."

Hello Victor.

Victor:

"When he got near them, he stopped running to get closer to them."

Hello Mr Cryzim, I hope I haven't made you wait too long.

Ludo:

It's just a detail, the more important now is treating the boy.

Victor:

"Victor approaches Edward then examines him by bending down to the ground, he observes his entire body."

"Strangely, for a brief moment he wears a strange facial expression as if he had discovered something, before pretending that nothing happened."

I see, I think it's going to be easier than I thought to treat him, you don't have to worry anymore.

Ludo:

Phew, you reassure us by saying that.

Victor:

I can understand the worry you felt, let me manage his recovery and I can assure you that he will be good as new when he wakes up.

Rebecca:

"Rebecca, hearing it, has doubts."

How could he recover from all these injuries?

We only moved him a little, and he immediately screamed in pain as if a wild beast had destroyed every part of his body.

It's hard to think he'll get over it easily.

Ludo:

Oh, don't worry, if he is so famous it's because he saves people in a state at least 2 or even 3 times worse than that of the young boy.

I'm talking I'm talking, you will see yourself his skills and confirm what I tell you.

Victor:

"In a serious tone, Victor said these words."

Enough talking.

I'm going to give him painkillers, and then I'm going to speed up the healing of his wounds to completely eliminate the risk of infection.

"He makes him swallow painkillers that he was able to take from his doctor's bag that he keeps constantly as well as tranquilizers, then he targets the wounds and accelerates the healing with his power of void."

Rebecca:

"Above Victor, Rebecca admires the entire treatement operation."

His magic is rather impressive, his wounds disappear as if they had never existed.

Ludo:

You still call it magic?

I remind you that is a natural phenomenon, since you are capable of doing the same thing.

Rebecca:

Allow me to doubt it, I understand where his reputation comes from given the speed of regeneration of the wound.

I'm sure if there were more people who had your specialty, the Reaper wouldn't have been so deadly, what do you think?

Victor:

"While he continues to use his void power."

I think you're right, but the present is what it is and no one could stop all this.

"Following these words, he was able to finish the preliminary healing barely two minutes later, from there he got up and said after having finished."

We need to lift it and place it in the cleanest environment possible.

I definitely stopped the blood from clotting any longer in his wounds, the next step is to wait for complete healing naturally to give his body time to recover.

Ludo:

Let's put it in my daughter's bedroom, there doesn't seem to be any other cleaner place that I know of, since my daughter hates sleeping in a dirty place.

Victor:

Your daughter's bedroom huh.

"Victor turns to Rebecca."

Do you agree ?

Rebecca:

I don't have much choice anyway, and it doesn't really bother me, go ahead and put him on my bedroom.

Victor:

Well, please help me carry it Mr Cryzim.

Ludo:

If it's said so politely, then I'm willing.

"They are both carrying Edward, with one carrying his legs and the other carrying his upper body."

Victor:

"While carrying it, Victor sees a bag fall below Edward."

Hey there was a bag underneath the young man, Rebecca could you take it please?

It's probably his bag, you might as well take it in case there are important things for him.

Rebecca:

All right.

"She takes the bag with her, as well as the blanket."

"As soon as everyone was ready, they could leave for the village and go directly to the inn, where Rebecca's bedroom is located."
