I took a moment to catch my breath, feeling the weight of what I had just experienced. The room was quiet, save for the faint crackling of the flames surrounding us. I looked down at the three staffs now melded together in my hands, a sense of awe and foreboding washing over me.
I turned to the two figures standing before me. "What now?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper.
The hooded figure spoke first. "You must continue on your journey, Kyla. There are three more elemental staffs for you to find: the staffs of water and lightning. Strong entities that will put your resolve to the test and challenge your skills are protecting them. I hope you can wield your elements and their properties."
A shiver ran down my spine at the thought of what lay ahead. But I knew that I had to find the remaining staff, and I couldn't afford to fail.
