A Protector is a term used for a sorcerer who is chosen to guard humanity from the elements.

They are powerful people who have unlocked their energy core and can harness gods energy.

The gods energy within them is then manifested in the form of an Affinity.

The Protectors were graded according to the level of their system.

An Awakened level sorcerer, made an Awakened level Protector.

An Ascended level sorcerer, made an Ascended level Protector.

A Supreme level sorcerer, made a Supreme level Protector,...and so on.

Affinities, are the different genres of abilities available to each sorcerer.

Most people have an affinity for fire. The most common, yet the strongest Affinity out there.

This makes them able to manifest flames and other fire related stuff. Most have an affinity for water, some for wind, and some for earth.

However, there are some affinities that are extremely rare.

Such as the Ice Affinity, Shadow Affinity, Revelations Affinity, Lightening Affinity, and so on.

The stronger a Protector was, the more likely it was for them to survive a Flashback.

Flashbacks were a sort of manifestation of the ancient past, mostly from the time of The War.

When such a thing happened, collosal Titans, and harrowing abominations would spawn out of a rift in time and space.

During this, the available Protectors would all have to embark on a journey through a Time Storm and slay the cause of the rift in it's time period and conquering the Time Storm.

The Time storms themselves were strange, mystical tornadoes that messed with the time and space continuum.

They are formed when a divine level calamity breaks the flow of the Winds of Time, causing a time portal to appear randomly at any point in time.

Flashbacks were of different levels, spanning from a mild opening in time and space spawning tiny beasts, to gargantuan holes in the fabric of reality spawning dragons and collosal sized beasts.

Grade-1 was the weakest and least dangerous, and Grade-10 were the strongest and most dangerous.

When a Protector successfully survived a Flashback and conquered the Time Storm, their set would be gifted attributes.

Attributes were special qualities that only the holder could possess.

They held a strong influence on the life of the owner, and those around them.

The attributes were also ranked according to the system.

A Protector with an Awakened level system would only receive an Awakened level attribute that had little influence on their lives, a Protector with an Ascended level system, would receive an Ascended level attribute...and so on.

In general, these are the five most important terms in the entire novel.

However, as the novel progresses, I will continue to update this list.

Hopefully, by chapter 1000, we would have a complete list.
