Chapter 4 - 4. inevitable truth...

Iris was missing the whole day...mr. Adam and Thayem was worried the whole day finding her.

----------------- ----------------

From dark obscure encircled void a silhouette of a little fragile body can be seen...sun rays illuminating the path, two fingers flipped the page... reading out:

"in the consequence of her selfless and eternal love for him she changed her fate. In the void she only saw a gleam of him calling her, nevertheless she bet her whole life to serve the one while smiling, the one she loved from her soul." - her voice came quiet euphonious.

"But will he do the same?...will he come to find her when she will be lost in her wandering restless thoughts...will he allow himself to gain courage to find his truely loved one..."

Closing the book... iris glanced to the words written in bold in red shade "out of blue" "written by...

Untill that book got lost in dark surrounding again...but this time she faced unknown through void she can saw a pair of eyes gleaming, that fragile silhouette stared, right through iris looking deep into her eyes... asking her..."will he?..."

"Will he... iris violet?..."

------------ -------------

Unaware, immersed in thoughts, iris was horrified by this inexplicable environment. Waking up from a dream iris finds herself in a completely different surrounding. She discovers herself sitting on a bench like a carved sculpture, powerless can't afford to consume those stray thoughts suffocating her live, thrown over to her unwittingly.

"I never desired to get this far from my family. Speaking of which I don't remember them at all!...my restless soul...it feels like I lost them years ago...and just this realisation is hitting me now..."

"I'm a lost abandoned child wandering aimlessly..."

"I want my life back!..., my family back.." - iris murmured in pain.

Unlike her innumerable thoughts her soul is also restless. In a blink of moment she is all soaked in rain, taking a look around she finds everyone in the park running trying to take shelter. But for her, at this moment she don't care. This rain feels very light compared to her sorrow every emotion which is expressing itself without her permission...

There is nothing that belongs to her, here everything is unfamiliar even her body it feels like it belongs to someone else...she never lived these moments before...she has her concious and her vague memory of her life which don't belong her and neither she. It's impossible to escape from the inevitable truth which is one and only reality.

Lost in her innumerable thoughts someone covered her with an umbrella.

Sitting beside her, Thayem spoke in serene voice - "I knew , you'll be here..."

...Silence.... Blowing wind...

Whistling of wind is audible, after rain park is

drapped in greenery and sweet fragrance of petrichore. Encircled in serenity, the lamps in the park twinkled in the gathering dusk visualising it in a marvellous painting. Sitting calmly in blank state she sees her reflection in a small hollow filled with water... marking the beginning...of her immerse thoughts...

"Isn't she is the one who always begged for a chance..." A chance...- iris stared at her reflection.

"Vixen I know it's very hard to live with a family who you are not greatly grateful for, but I think granny has sent you here for a reason..." - Thayem spoke starting conversation.

"And I really like it when you're with us. Past doesn't matter, what matters is what you are in present and what you wants your life to be. You can change it with your doing and seek happiness with your loved ones and don't care about mom and sis they will also...

Not letting him finish...iris warmly hold his hands at once saying - "yeaa... that's what I want...to live with my loved one...the one who I care about... it's okay if I show up imperfectly I'll not stop myself from experiencing the fullness of God..." - iris confirmed staring into his eyes.

"If a chance is given to me I'll not allow myself to deviate from its aim and continuing odyssey into space between love and life..." - she thought to herself.

Nodding in acknowledgement iris astonishingly asked - "thayem!...from when did you become this sharp-witted... you have grown older..."

"A-ohh...t-that...-he smiled bashfully.

"And what was that you were saying about your grandparents?.." - iris expressed her confusion.

Thayem burst into laughter - "don't you tell me you also forget them!..."

"It's just... - she said hesitly suppressing her inquisitiveness.(the truth is she don't remember anything)...

He started from saying ;

"I was in awe aand.. in kind of disbelief, when granny first brought you here last year. Before that, we didn't know you live with them...back then when we first saw you...you looked ethenic and thought you don't belong here...everyone thought you were adopted by them... anyhow they never told us the truth." - Thayem continued reassuring her. "But they really love you...granny never wanted to leave you here but you're incredible at academic,so they decided to left you here for your good future" - I'm telling you this because I think you're taking too much stress...I hope you don't blame them for their doing and also accept us as your own family.."

In admiration by his compassionate concern and caring nature toward her she watched him closely awestruck with her gleaming eyes.

A moment of pause....

" Next day after your entrance exam, we found you unconcious in our old school, doctor said because of over exhaustion and dehydration you fell unconcious. Dad told us not to tell anything to granny not to disturb her. I was so scared...yk...(he gazed into her eyes which are gleaming )...

"Thankyou for embracing me...mei..." - smiling she sighed in relief.

"Y-you're welcome..." - fixing his gaze toward the blue sky.

"but do you remember me right?..." - Thayem said teasingly.

"Stop joking mei!...yk... I'm in hard time!..." - she said annoyingly. ( " Granny , she is the one from where I'll get my all answers!..." )

"At least you remember me!...heee..." - he uttered smiling.

In a moment, her profound thoughts come to an end all at once.,, crystal clear vision initiating the longly awaited inception marking the beginning of essence of her odyssey.

"So where are your grandparents?..." - iris asked him.

"It's ours iris..." - he said emphasizing those words.

"Hnn...our grandparents...where are they?..." - she questioned imitiating him.

"They live in village neir which is far from here, but you can go there after your interview." - he replied.

"But I want to go their now!..."- she whined.

"No you can't !... you're fighting for 'An Uphill Battle' so you can't afford to waste your hard work and sacrifices that you have made..." - Thayem soften his voice. Continuing he said - "and this week is almost about to end, last two days will be weekend and we have only Friday left...who knows you're result will be announced tomorrow!..."

"Is this serious?..." - iris asked him in quavering voice.

Thayem nodded in sympathy - " yes, very much of, because if you're unable to succeed I'm not capable to estimate how many innumerable wave of misery and torment we have to go through. "

Posturing her perspective, "unn..I have this feeling from the start. " - she uttered in agreement.

Chuckling , Thayem spoke - " it's already dawn. we should head to home."

....

Clattering of dishes echoing in an aereated space. Standing infront of dishwashing iris is lost in her profound thoughts ones again. This time, maybe because of her hazy memories , she herself is unable to understand why there is hardly any memory relating to her family. Infect there is everything vague about her memories that she never significantly lived them before.

Putting washed plate aside in basket, it carelessly slipped out off her hands...

He seized the fallen plate in his hand reflexively..

"Are you alright fennec..." - Thayem worriedly asked.

"yeaa , I'm fine..." - snapping out off her thoughts she replied. Sadness in her voice.

"Let me help you." - Thayem said. slowly grabbing unwashed dishes.

There is silence in the air only clattering sound of utensils. It's already past 10 and it's getting late. Starting conversation Thayem said - "you should go and sleep."

"Where is aunt and uncle?..." - she asked reluctantly.

"Only dad is sleeping in his room, mom and sis maybe they went to the party. They didn't came home yet." - he replied unsurely.

.....

Throwing herself on her bed she is completely exhausted. There is not much energy left within her that she can use in thinking. A cold breeze hitting her shoulder she sighs in relief, a tear unknowingly escaping from her eye...'chuckling'..."is was a long long day..."

For now she wants to take a nap so that her never ending dream will slowly fade into this vast confine and majestic universe. Her face gleaming in moon light , radiating her every emotions in silence slowly drifting her into a deep slumber engulfing her every thoughts all at once.

Pure soul itself don't have any idea about in what intricate situation her fate has thrown her into.

---------- ----------

Enclosed in a dense shadowy shrubs and trees. The sun rays shine through the alien trees illuminating them in muted hue of green and golden. Little space in between them drapped in fallen leaves emphasizing it as a heavenly place.

From a distance, faint sound of someone calling echoing in ears. "Wake up!..."

Opening her eyes, she saw a little boy peeking behind a tree... trembling, came near to her saying "i-i knew , y-you will get easily lost in this mortal world..."

Sitting near her he continued- "and look you're already forgetting your vague memories"

Sitting on her knees she stared him surprisingly.

Smiling he said- "little iris you should follow me..." Hopping with his Little feet.

Placing her little feet on his footprints she followed him silently looking his back.

Following him she reached a shed which somehow looked very familiar. Looking back he faced her lovingly patting her head - "don't get lost again!..." - his voice soften.

"Hm...I will not... Aerith...I will not..."

"Then wake up!...and don't forget me..."
