Chapter 62 - CH.61

"Thanks Mom."

Johanna just sat there hugging Molly, not saying a thing, thinking that this may be what she needs right now since the whole situation is very sudden, but Johanna hoped she could give Molly comfort through this. After hugging for a while, Johanna heard Basil returning to the room with the still-crying baby and the other one. He handed the baby over to Molly so that she could take a closer look at her own baby. She happily smiled at her baby and touched it a little bit to calm it down. Johanna was also curious and took a closer look at it, noticing that, just like its mother, it only had human characteristics except for cow horns, or at least the buds for them.

Basil joined them in the bed, cuddling, so that the whole family could all cuddle together. Johanna looked over them and realised how much she enjoyed her time watching her family enjoy their lives. Johanna and Basil spent at least one hour comforting Molly until she just wanted to sleep and had time for herself. But before they left, Johanna asked her how she would like to name her daughter, to which she answered Julia.

Both of them left the room and took care of the children while talking and chatting, when they suddenly heard a knock on their front door. Johanna just subconsciously asked Basil to open the door, thinking nothing of it, so he did. He walked over to the door out of sight of Johanna, who just continued playing with the children, but after thinking nothing of the situation, she remembered that they were in the middle of the forest, where normally no human would knock and a monster would just barge the door in. Johanna felt like she had gotten careless since the only people who would dare to knock at a house door that was in the middle of the forest were people who were either idiots, overconfident, or capable enough to not be scared about anything in this forest, which would have to make them quite powerful.

Johanna sat the children on the ground and then dashed to the door since she knew that her husband wasn't the most powerful or a good mediator. As Johanna arrived at the door, she saw an Asian-looking, tall, black-haired teenager pulling out his sword.

"There's a monster here!!! It's a B-ranked minotaur! Get back; I will handle him myself."

"Who do you think is handling you, puny human?"

"I don't hear the words of a monster that has kidnapped a woman!"

They were shouting back and forth at the unknown man, accusing Basil of having kidnapped a woman, while Basil, instead of trying to explain or calm the situation, just escalated the whole situation because of the human provocation. While they were shouting at each other, the human pulled out his sword, fully pointing it towards Basil in a threatening manner.

And that's when Johanna stepped into the heated conversation, jumping between the two to stop them from hurting each other. Johanna would be easily able to kill off the group of human teenagers since it looked like they fell into the category of idiots or arrogant people and were not in the category of capable people. Even though Johanna wasn't good at assessing abilities in this fantasy world, a tiger would always be able to tell that a bunny was weaker than them.

"There is the proof! Come here; we are here to rescue you!"

"What are you talking about, my wife?"

"Kidnapping and marrying a human woman without her consent is even worse, you monster!"

Johanna just looked back and forth between these stubborn individuals, starting to enjoy and watch it since it looked like one of those stupid reality TV shows in real life, but at some point she had to interfere, not wanting to escalate the conflict even further. It looked like some members of the black-haired boys party understood that the Minotaur wasn't planning on attacking them, so they tried to deescalate the situation by pulling back the swordsman while Johanna held Basil back.

After Basil calmed down for a second, Johanna told him that he should go back inside to the kids and Molly, while she would take care of the business with the humans. Basil was sceptical at the beginning, not wanting to leave his wife's side, but he agreed after Johanna ensured him nothing bad would happen.

As Basil returned back to the room with the children in it, Johanna invited the "guests" inside, and since the black-haired swordsman still didn't want to leave, he agreed, and because he was the leader of the group, the rest of them agreed and followed Johanna inside. Johanna told them to take a seat at the dinner table, where they all took seats next to each other, while Johanna took a seat on the opposite side of the black-haired swordsman. Once they had all settled down, Johanna looked over the rest of them.
