The next morning, Johanna was woken up by Noah since they wanted to depart soon. Ethan had already started to prepare the army, only waiting for the speech that Johanna wanted to hold today. Johanna had to rush out of the cave so that her soldiers wouldn't have to wait for her any longer. Johanna had also completely forgotten that she wanted to prepare the speech since she was "busy" last night.
Once she got to the top, all heads turned towards her simultaneously, anticipating her arrival. She hadn't prepared the speech, but she generally knew what she wanted to say to the goblins, or at least what she would try to explain to them. So she started to improvise the speech.
"The reason why you will fight today is to gain power; today you won't capture any beautiful women. I'm sorry for that, but instead, you can capture yourself a male human slave, and do you know what you can do with a slave? Everything! You can order him to capture women for you so that you don't have to capture them yourself since you're too busy to fuck all of the women your slaves captured for you, and did you know that this slave belongs only to you and nobody else? We attack today so that we can capture male miners, but if you aren't able to catch a single one, you have to dig yourself, but if you were to capture more than one, he could build you your own room where you can keep as many women as you want."
The goblins started roaring loudly, celebrating the basic thoughts of owning something themselves, and the concept of slavery was very welcome to them. Johanna was just relieved that the speech didn't end in total embarrassment for her, and it looked like the goblins had learned something that could be useful in the future. Johanna only hoped now that the capitalism they had just discovered wouldn't ruin the village.
But it was too late to delete these ideas within them, so she decided to let it be and get Amanda, since Aiko has been waiting for both of them for a while now. After waking Amanda up and going back to the surface again, they departed into the forest. Aiko was the only one who knew how to navigate through this forest since she had been training the army here for a few months now.
The trio walked on a smaller path through the forest, which was faster than the route that the army was taking, so their plan was to sell the goblins human slaves that Johanna would capture so that they could own a slave and not have to work. In turn, the goblins would have to carry the already-mined iron close to the city so that Johannas trio could sell it to the villagers. They also have to pay back the slaves with more iron, which their slaves now have to mine. In the end, only those goblins lucky enough to capture a slave themselves would truly have to work, while every goblin who buys one still has to work back in the cave since his slave still has to pay himself off.
Once Johanna had arrived at the first cave that had confirmed mining operations, she entered the mine and knocked out every worker within the mine with ease; some of them tried to resist, and it looked like there were some guards, but they were no match for Johanna at all. Once she went through what she believed was the whole mine, she carried out every unconscious man and ordered Aiko and Amanda to tie them up. After a few hours of tying them up and dragging them out of the cave, they were done and only had to wait for the goblin army to come and buy all the slaves off of them.
Some of the miners began to wake up after a while and tried to ask the trio questions, but they were just ignored by the trio until finally the golin army arrived. The goblins looked very surprised by what they saw, and Johanna quickly explained to them what happened and how goblins could just buy as many slaves as they wanted under the condition that the slaves had to mine off a small loan that Johanna granted to the goblins. The goblins initially didn't understand what all of this meant since they didn't understand the concept of loans. Some goblins just decided not to buy a slave from her since they were about to raid way more mines where they could just get their own slaves without loans.
Just as Johanna thought that the goblins were still too stupid to understand this very good offer, one goblin in the middle of the goblin army's ranks suddenly walked up to Johanna and asked:
"So they have to work off a loan, and after that, I can keep them as my own?"
"Yes"
"Then I will buy them all, all 56 of them."
Some goblins started murmuring, thinking the goblin was stupid since he now had a very big debt to Johanna, but Johanna knew that this goblin was a big buissnesman in the making.
The army departed for the next mine while the goblin stayed behind to chat with the trio while he was waiting for all of his new slaves to wake up. Once they were all awake, he started to order them to carry all of their iron ore that was already mined today to the town where Johanna wanted to sell it so that they could buy more mining tools. It wasn't a simple task to keep the slaves under control, but once one of them tried to escape and was beaten up, no one dared to try to escape again.
Once the slaves brought all of the iron ore to the forest near the city, the goblin departed to bring the slaves back to the iron mine to pay back his loan, while Amanda and Aiko started to approach the city to sell the whole iron and Johanna kept a lookout so that none of the iron would be stolen.
