As the portal began to form, Renzor clenched his hands, anxiety flooding him. "Shit, it has been two days since I left Fahrkon. Nothing would have happened, right?" He tried to reassure himself, but the doubt gnawed at him. Soon, a black circle materialized, revealing the lush greenery on the other side.
Eredius grabbed Renzor's arm, his voice stern and urgent. "Renzor, please, just tell us what's happening."
Renzor took a deep breath, his eyes darting between the portal and his friends. "Why is there a time difference between the dark realm and the one I am in now?" he murmured, more to himself than anyone else.
"Knowing Kira, she will kill anyone close to me," Renzor began, his voice laced with dread. "Then they will come after people I hold dear." A heavy silence hung in the air as the weight of his words settled over them.
Eredius tightened his grip on Renzor's arm. "What is in Fahrkon that would warrant you being like this?" he demanded.
