DEREK'S POV
Where is Avia going? I thought to myself. She was holding a basket in her hands as she stepped out of the palace. I decide to follow her quietly. It's not safe to be walking outside the palace by this time.
She suddenly quickens her pace and I lose her in the forest.
Where the hell did she go???
DARREN'S POV
My lord, the attacks on the villages are becoming rampant. Please do something about this, one of the ministers say.
What is responsible for this rampage? I ask, my gaze turned to Calix.
There hasn't been an eye witness so far but from the state of the place, It seems to be the work of flesh eaters, he replied.
I know very well that this is the work of Maleficent. She must be raising an army of ghouls. Of all places she lays her mark on, it had to be my kingdom.
Start counting your downfall Maleficent, I'm coming for you.

AVIA'S POV
I know the ghoul has noticed my presence. I try to bring out my claws but I felt like I was out of energy.
Suddenly it grabs my neck from behind and pulls me out of the bushes. It sniffs me, his hot steamy breath caressing my chest.
So much power! You are a lynx! I haven't seen one in over a decade, what a catch, it says in a husky voice, showing off it's teeth and it's long slimy tongue.
It brings it's mouth to my chest, trying to bite off my heart but I quickly bring out my claws and strike it across it's left eye.
It let go of me and growled angrily, blood sipping through my claw marks.
I suddenly felt very weak, I was sweating profusely and my heartbeat tripled. My vision was getting blurry and I couldn't speed away.
It finally got itself and charged at me but something ripped it apart.
It was a huge black wolf, it ripped the ghoul's head off it's body in one go.
I was relieved and at the same time not, I stepped back in fear and tried to stand my ground.
Suddenly it transformed... Derek. He walked up to me, his clothes were still on his body unlike when other werewolves transform. It seems his clothes are made with magic.
Are you alright? He said holding my shoulders. I try to speak but words couldn't come out.
DEREK'S POV
I notice her open her mouth but words didn't come out. I look at her hands and noticed green lines forming on her hands. It seems to be spreading fast. Suddenly, she falls unconscious in my arms and her body feels numb.
I manage to trace the source of the wound, it was a scratch on her hand...Oh no
She has been poisoned!
I transform into my wolf form and heap her on my back before dashing off.
DARREN'S POV
Why did the feeling suddenly seize? I can't shake the feeling that she's in some kind of trouble. I shouldn't be bothered but my chest keeps burning.
I walk up to my balcony to receive a little fresh air. I hear a knock on my door and the person seems to have opened it.
Who else would be able to do that if not Anaya. She walks up to me and hugs me from behind.
Anaya and I have been friends for a long time, since I was still a little prince. When she was little, she was a self confident person just like me, except that she looked fierce, not like a weakling.
I formed a friendship with her but she seems to have developed feelings for me. I don't think I can ever have feelings for her, but she is relentless.
I've missed you so much while I was away, now I'm back,I wanna spend all my time with you, She says in a needy voice. I didn't move or reply to her, I am to exhausted for all this.
Something grabs my attention. I sight a huge black wolf running inside the palace. It was Derek's wolf and there seemed to be a lady on his back... Avia!
ANAYA'S POV
Finally I can get time alone with Derek. I hug him from behind and placed my head on his back.
Holding him this close feels so good. I want to be in his arms forever.
Suddenly he breaks free from my hold and dashes off.
I quickly follow him although he is faster than me. I noticed Derek in his wolf form running into the palace with that filthy wretch on his back.
She seems to be unconscious, probably injured. Wait a minute.....is she the reason why Darren rushed here?
What's going on Derek, Lauren asks as Derek transforms back, holding Avia in his arms.
I think she has been poisoned, Derek says, his eyes beaming with concern for this girl.
Darren walks over to him and raises her hand. Her hands were covered with green lines and they had spread up to her neck.
What happened, tell me everything! Darren says in a baritone voice.
She went out alone to the forest so I followed her. When I finally caught up to her, she was at the mercy of a flesh eater. I ripped it apart before it could harm her but then she passed out. That's when I noticed the green lines on her hands and the scratch mark, Derek explains.
Call the physician immediately! Lauren orders and two guards rushed out.
In little or no time, the physician appeared and greeted everyone.
Her she is, please take a look and heal her, Derek half yelled. I was shocked at how concerned he is about her.
The physician looked at her and immediately turned to Darren with worried eyes. It's Dracula's thorn, she must have been pricked with it and the poison seems to have spread across her body. If it reaches her brain, then she will seize to live.
What are you waiting for then? Treat her! Derek growls. The only way to eliminate the poison from her body is from a fire blood, but before I will be able to get a fire bird, she would be long gone, the physician said with his head bowed.
Suddenly Darren makes a small dagger out of ice and walks towards Avia....is he finally going to end her life.
He suddenly brings the dagger to his left palm and cuts himself. Blood seeps out and he drops it on the scratch mark where the poison entered through.
Darren! I exclaim and quickly rush to his side and held his hand. As expected, the wound healed itself. Why did you do that Darren? I ask but he pushes me off and lifts Avia into his arms.
What the hell is happening?????
CALIX'S POV
I observe everyone's expression. Shock and confusion is clearly written on their faces.
Darren's actions have once again put everyone including myself in a state of confusion.
He lifts her up into his arms and walks up to his room. Derek follows after. Lauren sighs and walks away to her room while Anaya stares into space, probably in shock about the whole scene here.
I hope Avia survives this, she is such a pure soul. She seems to be pulling strings in this palace without doing anything.
I wonder the scene Anaya will cause. I should follow Darren and know what's going on.
Darren reached his room and took her in, placing her gently on his bed. Derek made to enter but Darren created a crystal barrier, stopping him from entering.
Let me in Darren! I want to make sure that she's okay, Derek yells angrily.
You can leave, your presence is not needed. You don't expect me to let you stay in my room till she regains consciousness... learn your boundaries and stay within them, Darren growls, his eyes glowing bright yellow.
Derek glares at him before stomping away. I look at Darren one more time before leaving. I hear the door closing behind me.
DARREN'S POV
I sit next to her, my gaze on her face. It's so pale and her lips are cracked. I noticed marks on her neck. The flesh eater must have tried to strangle her.
The green lines have already faded but she was still unconscious. I don't know why I did what I did. I cut myself for a mere slave. The thought of her dying drove me crazy.
I tuck her hair strands behind her ears. She looks so gently when she's unconscious. Her face slowly brightens up and I release a sigh of relief.
Suddenly her body begins to shake and she releases cold breaths. I didn't take into account that I was a mixture of fire and ice. The ice must already be taking effect.
If I don't do something now, she might die of cold. I quickly take of my shirt and take off her gown. I got into the bed with her and pull her close to me. I began radiating heat from my body.
I could feel her hand wrap tightly around me trying to warm herself. Her breasts were glued to my chest. She keeps coming closer even when I feel there is no space left between us. This little lady is a tempting seductress even in her sleep....Gawd
