IMOGEN'S POV
Maggie burst into the room while I was still getting dressed, her face pale with something close to panic. "Mistress Imogen, you have to see this," she said, holding a folded newspaper tightly in her hands.
I paused, halfway through fastening the black buttons on my dress. "What is it, Maggie?" I asked, feeling the quiet thrum of tension build in the room.
She rushed over and handed me the paper, pointing to an article that had been neatly folded to the front. I took it, my heart already sinking, and my eyes quickly scanned the headline before landing on the part she wanted me to see.
It was an interview with Elijah. The usual Rossi family fluff piece about legacy, power, and family. Which was unavoidable since his father just died. But then, there it was—bold, unmistakable.
"My father's death has opened my eyes to many things. Like cheating spouses."
