A little boy grew up within a royal bloodline. His name was Soni Dome, he was only seven years of age. The family he grew up with had barely loved him. The only person who actually showed him love was his sister, Meredith.Â
"You caused this!" Soni's older brother roared in anger, causing the brunette boy to flinch.
He had just stared at the castle he once lived in, burn down to the merciless flames. He stared without a smile, for he didn't feel joy, he stared without a frown, for he didn't feel sadness. He was soon slapped across the cheek, making it sting.
"If you weren't born, this wouldn't have happened!" Sinder yelled again, preparing to punch the boy again. Soni's eyes had started to well up with tears.
"That's enough. It wasn't his fault for the castle burning." a female said, blonde hair moving with the wind. "He never harmed you in any way, let alone started this fire."
Sinder scoffed and looked back towards the fire letting out a heavy sigh, "Yeah, well he did cause the fire. I saw it with my two eyes." the blonde-haired boy pointed out.
"I wasn't near him, but I know he wouldn't harm anyone, let alone burn down a castle." Meredith calmly reassured herself. Her purple dress moved along the ground as she stepped toward Sinder, his purple eyes seemingly glowing with rage. He drew out his sword from the sheath and stabbed her in the stomach. His smile was evil, his laugh was crooked, and he stared at the boy who was frightened by the death of his sister in front of him.Â
"Now that you're all alone, how will you protect yourself, hmm," Sinder said as he glanced at the boy, bloody sword in hand. "It seems no one cares about you anyway."
Soni looked at his sister who had blood pooling around her body, the crimson liquid streaming out of her mouth. He was struck with fear, how could his brother betray his sister?Â
Sinder grabbed Soni's arm, tugging him toward the castle. He found a pole that hadn't burned down yet and tied Soni up by the wrist using a rope on the ground meant for horses. The brunette kicked and screamed all to no avail. Sinder watched as the flames rose higher, starting to consume the boy.Â
"L-let me go! I d-didn't do a-anything!" Soni yelled out He could feel the flames itching at his back, the skin peeling from the extreme heat. He saw Sinder slowly walk away before stopping.
"Esther and our parents are dead, all because of you. Meredith only got in my way. Now I can be the king! So long, Soni." and with his last statement, Sinder left the boy to the flames.Â
Screaming was heard as the fire grabbed at his back and legs, tearing the skin from the bone. He was shaking, hoping that the rope would break and he would be free. Yet, that never happened, his story came to an end. Bloodcurdling screams filled the air before silence.
Silence. Pure, pure silence.
He was dead. His body still burning, but his soul was left to another world. Maybe there, he would be happy.Â
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
He woke up, a bright light blinding him. A forest? He could feel his ears flicker from the sounds of birds chirping, tail swishing gently behind him. How did he get here?Â
His back and legs didn't feel as if they were on fire. His mind was still blurry as he tried remembering certain things. Maybe he made it out, but what about his changes, fluffy ears and a tail were not there before.Â
