"I have made prior arrangements at Eclipsia Manor. We need to move there today," Uncle Lu said with a solemn expression, accelerating the car away from the city.
"So, Mistress Valdenor found out?" Eagon said with a straight face, his fingers delicately caressing Maria's head as she slept soundly on his lap.
"I can't confirm yet, but She indeed found out about young miss whereabouts including yours, not only young miss, but you are also in trouble too young master."
"I am fine as long as Alvie sis is fine."
Eagon's phone rang at the moment, but he chose to ignore it, focusing on the present situation with Maria.
After a long journey into the woods, they finally reached the beautiful mansion, known as "Eclipsia Manor," stands surrounded by mystical flowers and mist, adding to its allure and enchantment. The name perfectly complements its tranquil and secluded atmosphere, evoking a sense of elegance and mystery. The secluded mansion stood as a haven amidst nature, welcoming them with an air of mystery and tranquility.
"Eclipsia" is a term derived from the word "eclipse." An eclipse occurs when one celestial body moves into the shadow of another. In the context of the mansion's name, "Eclipsia Manor," it may symbolize a retreat or sanctuary, a place where one can find solace away from the shadows or disruptions of the external world. After reaching Manor, Eagon pulled out his phone and dialed number, it took few seconds to picked up. "Dr. Leo?"
"Hey... " Leo tried to calm himself as much as he could.
Eagon instantly sensed abnormalities in his tone as his heart was yearning to ask for 'how he's doing' but he tightened his heart and asked coldly.
"What's the situation?" Eagon brushed off his emotion.
Leo used his sweetest and most hurtful tone to call Eagon," Gon...?"
Other side, Eagon was silent.
"Xiao-"
"Dr. Leo, if it's not that important then please spare me, I am busy." Eagon abruptly ended call without hearing him out.
Dr. Leo held his injured hand in pain. His clenched his heart as he looked at tall dark figure, " They are safe."
They both let out sigh of relief at same time.
The next day, Maria woke up to find two people working in her room. Her room felt familiar, smelt familiar, looked familiar but different at the same time. The fragrance of the room reminded of her childhood that she no longer remembers.
Unfamiliar faces in a familiar room left Maria confused, triggering a sense of panic as she grappled with the disorienting situation. Beads of sweat formed on her forehead. Soon, both women noticed that Maria was awake. One of them hurried outside to call Eagon, while the other approached Maria to attend to her.
"Young miss, are you fine?"
Maria stared at the approaching woman with a mixture of confusion and horror reflected on her face, uncertain about the unfolding situation.
Unconsciously, Maria pushed the approaching woman away, causing her to fall to the ground. Maria noticed the approaching steps, her attention drawn to the sound echoing in the room.
One steps! two steps! as it gradually grew into marching sound on her ears.
She heard more than one people marching towards her.
She groaned in fear like someone was approaching her with the intention of killing.
Maria felt a surge of overwhelming confusion and fear as unfamiliar faces surrounded her. In her distress, Maria's breathing became erratic, and her hands trembled. When the woman reached out to assist her, Maria's instincts kicked in, and she pushed her away, further fueling the chaos within. "Don't touch me!!!"
Eclipsia manor turned into indifferent rundown place, her surrounding was completely different as she saw few minutes ago, her memories were playing with her mind as she fell deeper into the memories.
Something in that room triggered her memories.
In a sudden surge of fear, she hurriedly covered her abdomen with her hand, her eyes shedding tears of blood. The intensity of her reaction left her oblivious to her surroundings, consumed by the gripping terror that had taken hold.
"Alvie??...JieJie?"Eagon rushed towards his frail sister, sensing that she was on the verge of collapse. With a swift motion, he reached out and held her, gently calming her down.
His presence and reassurance became a stabilizing force as he tried to bring a sense of calm to the overwhelming fear that gripped her. "Save us... Xiao Mu."
Eagon's emotions switched from fear to sadness as he hugged his dear sister calling his name when they first met, into his arm. In a matter of moments, Eclipsia Manor was enveloped in turmoil and sadness.
Eagon gently put Alvie into bed once she had calmed down.
He looked at Uncle Lu as he located a different kind of flowerpot inside her room. It was emitting a strange kind of fragrance which would make people sick.
He angrily grabbed the flowerpot which had one black orchid flower with golden outline. "Who put this here?" He angrily looked at two young women in the room, " No, young master we wouldn't dare."
"Please spare us, young master"
Uncle Lu immediately understood the situation and alert the guards, " Look for this type of flowers and send these to test." He then approached Eagon," Young master I can assure you that every people of Eclipsia Manor is loyal and wouldn't dare to harm both of you, you have my word. "
"Uncle Lu...?" Eagon faced him confusedly.
"There more into it. I will definitely give you proper answer. please calm down." Uncle Lu exited the room, offering reassurance to Eagon with a display of unwavering loyalty.
