Chapter 2 - Isabell was telling the truth

Rosesnow felt someone had gone into her chest and ripped her heart out. Gaston allowed Rosesnow to leave the table because her face went ghastly pale, and she quickly marched to her bedroom. Rosesnow sat on the bed and knew Isabell was telling the truth.

Rosesnow knew there must be a reason why her parents hadn't told her where she came from and wanted to know why her fake father wanted her to marry him when he was already married. Rosesnow calmed her heart down and strolled back to the table. Jane and Mary knew she had time to let the information sink in.

Rosesnow sat down and took a deep breath. She looked at Gaston and announced. "I go with you but on one condition. You have to tell the King that I am a man and my name is Philip. Only you and your family can call me Rosesnow in private." Gaston nodded and replied. "I understand and accept your condition. Let's hope we can convince everyone that you are a man, not a woman and are learning to be an artist."

Rosesnow sighed with relief as Mary and Jane knew Rosesnow did not want anyone at court to tell her fake father. Gaston, his family, and Rosesnow went to court the following day. Jane and Mary were allowed to show Rosesnow the bedchamber that she would have. They helped her by putting her belongings and art materials away.

Rosesnow placed a tripod easel near a window as she could see the garden and another building. Rosesnow took a deep breath and slowly released it. Jane and Mary knew Rosesnow was nervous about coming to court for the first time. Rosesnow got some paintbrushes, a cloth, and a towel on a table.

Jane and Mary covered the trunks with women's clothes. Rosesnow took a deep breath and looked out of the window. She let her breath out and carried a chair to the window as there was a knock on the door. Jane opened the door, and Gaston, Isabell, Tom, Edward, and Henry entered the bedchamber. Mary knew the King had welcomed her father to court and showed him his bedchamber.

Gaston saw Rosesnow starting to draw a building on paper and strolled over to her. Gaston saw a building and realised that Rosesnow was getting the outline down on paper. Rosesnow got the details of the building and added the foreground and the sky. Gaston got a canvas on the tripod and placed the canvas vertically.

Rosesnow finished her drawing and looked at Gaston as she asked. "Is this okay, and can you show me how to transfer this drawing onto the canvas?" Gaston nodded as Rosesnow stood up and showed Rosesnow as he drew the picture on the canvas.

Rosesnow watched closely how he drew it on the canvas and knew she had to paint it. Gaston knew Rosesnow had to remember the colours to bring the picture to life and wrote down the names of the colours for the building on a different piece of paper.

Rosesnow used crayons and got the colours she would use to paint. Gaston realised it was getting late and turned around to face his family. Tom knew it was getting late and spoke up. "Now that Philip and father are here at court. We have to leave them be and visit them when possible. We had to be careful about what we say and do. We don't want to get Philip into trouble and get punished."

Henry, Edward, Isabell, Jane, and Mary knew he was telling the truth. They left Gaston and Philip (Rosesnow) alone when they returned home. Gaston let Philip (Rosesnow) go alone and went to his bedchamber. They had food brought to them, and Philip (Rosesnow) knew he could start painting after breakfast.

Philip (Rosesnow) ensured the door was shut and the curtains closed so she could undress privately. Rosesnow prayed before she got into bed and fell fast asleep. However, she doesn't know what will happen to her and has no clue that the Queen is not in love with the King as she is in love with another man.

Furthermore, she has no conclusion that the King, King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso, will find out that she is not a man and that he will have her as his wife and Queen. The following morning, Philip (Rosesnow) got up before anyone else and quickly dressed as she did her hair in a bun. She placed a hat over her hair and opened the curtains.

Philip (Rosesnow) got the paints ready and wrote down the order to paint. She had breakfast and let Gaston into the bedchamber. Gaston was impressed by the way that Philip (Rosesnow) had the names of the paint and started for her. Philip (Rosesnow) observed and took over. Gaston backs off and sees Philip (Rosesnow) in his zone.

Philip (Rosesnow) paints the grass in light lime green, dark moss green, and the sun in bright lemon yellow. Gaston left Philip (Rosesnow) to it and drew a portrait of King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso and the Queen. But he knew King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso was not in love with the Queen and saw a man in the background. He painted both King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso and the Queen.

Philip (Rosesnow) added light sea blue and dark navy blue for the sky. Philip (Rosesnow) let the paints dry and gave the paintbrush a good wash. He slowly started to paint the building in light hazel brown and dark wood brown. Philip (Rosesnow) had lunch, and Gaston finished the portrait of King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso and the Queen.

King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso allowed Gaston to add the final additions to the portrait, and the Queen walked over to the man. Gaston knew the Queen hadn't been loyal to King Leo Ray Rex Alfosno, and King Leo Ray Rex Alfonso walked away.

Philip (Rosesnow) mixed the silver and white colours. Philip (Rosesnow) looked outside and saw the sun reflection off the windows of the building.
