As she descended the stairs, she saw Mrs. Lu with a pile of food, rushing out the door. Seeing her, Mrs. Lu waved her over and called, "Xixi, I was just on my way to see Qiyan. You can accompany me!"
Meng Xi'er merely responded, "Oh," and followed along.
Everyone packed up and headed out. Meng Xi'er got into the carriage with the servants. Mrs. Lu and the butler took another carriage, heading toward the hospital.
"Miss Xixi, you look dreadful. Are you feeling okay?"
The servant sitting next to her glanced at Meng Xi'er's face, concerned.
Meng Xi'er always got along well with the Yan Family's servants. She was neither troublesome nor contentious, and her actions always well-measured, which made her very likable. Perhaps she didn't think of herself as the master of the Lu Family, so she got along very well with the servants. In this moment, out of Mrs. Lu's sight, someone couldn't help but show concern for her.
