After the faint sound of the door closing, Lu Yebai opened his eyes, lying on his side.
He stared into the void, his expression seeming somewhat bewildered.
Lun You turned around to look at him.
"Why must you do this," he said, "Can't you just speak kindly? After all you've done, still, you say things to provoke her."
"What I want, is her," Lu Yebai spoke lightly, "What did I say wrong?"
"So, you deserve it." Lun You mocked, "At times like this, instead of saying some sweet words to appease her, you intentionally upset her."
"I truly want her." He closed his eyes, sounding weary, "What else could I want? That's all I ask for. But when I speak the truth, she gets angry. What should I do?"
Lun You walked over and stood beside him, leaning down to look at him: "If I were you, I would never fall for her. There are so many women in the world, but you fancy her. I really don't understand you."
Lu Yebai chuckled softly, seemingly somewhat helpless: "That's why you are not me."
