It was not until they reached the noodle stall across the street that she realized Su Yan's "fancy meal" consisted of noodle soup with two eggs. She couldn't help but burst into laughter.
She didn't like spicy food. The noodles without chili tasted akin to noodles boiled in plain water, bland and tasteless. She couldn't help but think about the exquisite meal thrown in the garbage can earlier. The aroma that lingers in her memory made her swallow hard.
"Delicious, isn't it!" Su Yan assumed she liked the noodles just as much as he did.

"Yes." Bai Wanrou nodded, chewing the noodles in her mouth with the enthusiasm of eating wax.

Bai Xue watched the two people eating noodles, her eyes filled with envy. Being with the person she loved, no matter how hard or tiring, felt blissful.
"Xu assistant, later you go find the car repair shop owner. Ask him to get Su Yan a new fan, and remind him to provide Su Yan with three meals a day, all with meat. Make sure to give him a good reason, we don't want Su Yan to find out."
Coming here wasn't just for a dinner that Bai Xue knew Su Yan wouldn't eat. She came to assess his living conditions, hoping to make some improvements for him, to make his life a little more comfortable.

Just as she finished eating, Xu Qiming returned.
After Bai Xue gave him some instructions, Xu Qiming walked up to the owner.
"Our boss very much enjoyed your noodles. You should make it a little more hygienic here. Here is some money. Replace these tools with new ones and make sure your ingredients are clean. I'll send someone to check."
The last sentence from Xu Qiming was a warning. If the noodle stall owner took the money but failed to clean up, he could no longer conduct this business.
"Understood! Understood!" The noodle stall owner nodded hastily.
Xu Qiming's father is the housekeeper of the Bai's family and they both live there, making Xu Qiming both Bai Xue's assistant and her driver.
"CEO Bai, you truly are dedicated to President Su." Xu Qiming exclaimed, knowing that despite humiliation from Su Yan, she still painstakingly did all these for him.
Bai Xue smiled, "Isn't there a saying online, no matter how many times he mistreats me, I treat him like my first love."
