Bai Xue glanced at him, gave a slight laugh, but didn't say anything.

"Sister-in-law, there's something I've been meaning to ask you, but I'm not sure if it's appropriate."
"If it's going to put me on the spot, maybe you shouldn't."
Cheng Tianhao was taken aback, he didn't expect her to respond that way. Don't most people usually say something like 'What could be so difficult? Just go ahead and ask'?

"It was fine, your cousin is quite amusing." Bai Xue showed no sign of disgruntlement.
"Then it seems like I shouldn't have shown up, huh!" Su Yan said sarcastically.
"If making insulting remarks about me makes you happy, then go for it. But be careful not to slander yourself too. If others heard what you said, they would think you can't satisfy me, and that's why I'm looking elsewhere." As Mrs. Su, his wife, they are regarded as one entity. His honor is her honor and her disgrace is his disgrace. Sullying her name wouldn't benefit him at all.
She was always at a loss for words when arguing with Su Yan.
But he has improved, he no longer gets irate. Perhaps he's now accustomed to it.
"Get in the car." He wasn't angry, but that doesn't mean he was letting her off the hook. He intended to take her somewhere interesting for a new experience.
"How's your relationship with Cheng Tianhao?" Bai Xue asked once they were in the car.
"What, trying to sow discord between us brothers?"

Bai Xue's lips twitched. She turned her face to look out the window. He was twisting every word she said into something else. It was better to speak less and save her breath and energy.
Seeing that the car was veering off into a more secluded area, she frowned, "Aren't we going home?"
"Hmm."
"Then where are we going?"
"I'm gonna sell you."
Bai Xue thought he was joking, but to her surprise, he was serious about selling her!
