If Su Yan didn't want to save them, calling out to him would be useless.

"Yan!" Jones Ellie softly called out, trying to stop him from intervening.
But he acted as if he didn't hear her and stepped forward.
He hooked Bai Xue's face and looked at it carefully, then exclaimed in surprise, "Oh, isn't this my wife, Mrs. Su?"
Bai Xue's mouth twitched slightly, wondering what this guy was playing at.
Everyone on the scene was looking at Su Yan. Although they understood what "Mrs. Su" meant, they were not sure about the exact implication.
They both acted as if they didn't know each other at the banquet, so how did this beautiful oriental woman suddenly become his wife, Mrs. Su?
Su Yan released Bai Xue's face and turned back to Jones Finno, "Mr. Jones, this is my wife, Mrs. Su, my newlywed. She's not an undercover cop. It's a misunderstanding! Just a misunderstanding!"
"Misunderstanding?" Jones Finno raised his eyebrows, not planning to release them.
"If she is really your wife, why didn't you recognize each other at the banquet? Why is she here in this kind of clothing?" Jones Ellie asked, voicing everyone's doubts.
She didn't believe Bai Xue was Su Yan's wife. She thought he was simply bewitched by Bai Xue and wanted to help her.
Su Yan didn't answer her question, instead, he continued talking to Jones Finno, "Mr. Jones, I believe you've checked my background and know everything about me. It's common knowledge that me and my wife are at odds."
As he said this, Jones Finno did remember the report his subordinates had given him about Su Yan. He really was at odds with his wife, and this eastern woman who was arrested was indeed his newlywed bride.
However, even if this woman was Su Yan's wife, that didn't mean she was innocent!
