Bai Xue's mouth twitched, "Mayor Gong, do you take me for a fool?"
Gongze Yu sighed, "Xiao Xue, do you truly not remember who I am?"
They had spent such a long time in joyous harmony, yet she couldn't remember him. Even though he's changed, his name hadn't!
"Have we met before? Where?" Bai Xue really couldn't remember him.
"When you recall, I'll tell you," Gongze Yu hoped she would remember him by herself. It was his humble wish.
Bai Xue's mouth twitched again - if she remembered him, would she still need him to tell her?
By the time they left, it was pitch black outside, and snow began to fall.
Winter had arrived early this year.
Perhaps because her name contained the word 'snow', Bai Xue was especially fond of snowy days.
"Would you like to take a walk? A walk after dinner could keep us healthy until we're ninety-nine," Knowing her fondness for snow, Gongze Yu knew a walk with her in the snow would be a romantic thing.
"Sorry, I have something to do first," Bai Xue headed towards where she parked her car.
Looking at the empty space, she was somewhat dumbfounded; she clearly parked her car here!
How could it be gone?
"You parked your car here?" Gongze Yu followed her.
"Yes." How can it be gone? Who dared steal her car?
As a native of Jin City, and a businesswoman who had interacted with all sorts of people, nobody had ever dared to steal from her before.
"Your car should be at the Traffic Police Brigade now."
"Why?" Bai Xue didn't understand, and how did he know her car was at the Traffic Police Brigade?
Gongze Yu pointed upwards, and Bai Xue followed his gesture. There was a sign clearly stating no parking was allowed in this area.
She felt embarrassed. She had arrived in a hurry and since she was someone who didn't like being late, she'd parked in the open space she'd found without noticing the no-parking sign.
She called Xu Qiming for help but he was feeling unwell and couldn't come.
"I can take you home," Gongze Yu was still waiting for her.
Bai Xue knew it would be difficult to flag a cab in this area and didn't put up a fuss.
But she didn't expect his way of sending her home!

Gongze Yu apologized, "I thought it'd be hard to park because there would be a lot of cars today, so I didn't drive. Though, if we walk through this alley, we will reach Culture Road where it would be easier to catch a taxi."
Even without him mentioning, Bai Xue was aware of it.
The two of them took a stroll on the snowy evening.
A gust of cold wind blew, and Bai Xue couldn't help shivering.
Immediately, a thick coat was placed over her.
She wanted to refuse, but Gongze Yu gestured her to not move.
"I'm strong and sturdy, you are not."
"Don't be nice to me, I don't have anything in return. My heart is already invested in Su Yan, I don't have space for anyone else."
She considered herself good at judging character and although she couldn't recall where she had met Gongze Yu, she knew he bore no malice towards her, and maybe even liked her.
"You don't need to repay me. I like you and being good to you, that's my affair. You don't need to feel indebted."
"You're not from Jin City, aren't you, Mayor Gong?" Bai Xue abruptly changed the subject.
"I'm from Beijing."
"So how come you're so familiar with Jin City?" It was somewhat strange for a newly appointed mayor to know about this shortcut leading to Culture Road.
"Naturally, I'm very dedicated to the area I have to govern."
"Mayor Gong, indeed you're a good mayor," Bai Xue smirked, her tone a bit sarcastic.
