Adam realized he had been hasty, so instead of getting angry, he entered the elevator with Linxi, laughing apologetically.
"Miss Linxi, I was wrong! I will listen to you from now on. If you tell me to go east, I'm sure I won't go west."
Hearing the noisy apology, Linxi felt more irritated.
She didn't know why, but when she was looking at the changing numbers on the elevator panel, she felt inexplicably anxious.
It seemed that something bad was about to happen!
The elevator reached the fifth basement level. Before the doors were fully open, she bolted out.
"Miss Linxi, slow down…"
Seeing this, Adam followed her out, but in his haste he almost hit the elevator door.
Adam, clutching his nose which nearly got trapped in the elevator door, asked,
"Miss Linxi, why are you in such a hurry? Has something happened?"
"Shut up!" Linxi, in her frustration, shouted at him.
Adam did not understand why her mood had changed so dramatically?
