Qin Sisi was immediately stuck on how to respond to that question. The answer should be no love, right? But looking at the little one's eager eyes, Qin Sisi found it hard to utter those words.
After agonizing for what felt like ages, Qin Sisi cautiously replied, "Your mom was hurt deeply. If your dad was someone she loved and who loved her back, then I believe she would've loved you."
That was the best answer she could come up with.
The little one blinked its eyes, which were no bigger than slits. Its mood was neither sad nor joyous.
With a hint of confusion in its voice, it said, "I think I understand a bit, but not fully. However, it doesn't matter anymore. She's gone now, vanished from this world forever, right?"
Qin Sisi nodded and then shook her head, explaining, "That's not really accurate. She's gone now, but she will return in a thousand years."
The little one seemed deep in thought, but said nothing.
