The night finally fell, and Qin Sisi woke from her slumber. Ye You was still fast asleep.
She glanced outside the window, it was pitch black. Knowing she couldn't delay any longer, she gingerly emerged from the bed, covered Ye You with the quilt, and left the bedroom.
Although it was very dark outside, it wasn't midnight yet. It should be a while until Lan Di would arrive.
Qin Sisi poured a glass of water, just as she settled on the couch, the door to the guest room opened, Ning Hao came out.
Qin Sisi looked up, although Ning Hao seemed calm, his eyes betrayed fatigue and hidden pain.
"You haven't slept yet?" Qin Sisi asked quietly.
"I can't sleep." Ning Hao's voice was slightly hoarse, he sat on a chair that was neither too close nor too far from Qin Sisi.
Qin Sisi glanced at him, poured him a glass of water and put it on the table next to him, then went back to the couch. Both of them sipped their water in silence, no one spoke further.
