At the doorway of the apartment, Lin Shan opened the door and led Qin Sisi inside, handing her a pair of prepared slippers to put on. She began, "I just got off work, and Chen Lan hasn't returned yet. In the past, I thought teaching was a pretty good profession, with weekends and holidays. Only after sharing rent with Chen Lan did I understand that teaching is not something ordinary people can handle."
When she saw Qin Sisi put on the slippers, Lin Shan urged her to rest on the couch.
Settling down on the couch, Qin Sisi smiled and asked, "Since when did you become so enlightened?"
Lin Shan playfully glared at Qin Sisi. As she poured her a glass of water, she continued, "Really now, dealing with a bunch of kiddos is one thing, but what's really intolerable is having to deal with the hard-to-deal parents behind them."
Qin Sisi disagreed, "They can't all be like that, some parents are quite reasonable."
