Chereads / Tales of the Vampires / Chapter 30 - Season 1 Ending

Chapter 30 - Season 1 Ending

Maddison entered the room where Kan was and noticed him reading some palace reports. He had taken on the role of advisor in the palace.

"How's everyone?" she asked.

"Some survived the attack of the undead. All the surviving vampires will return to Serolf Academy," Kan replied.

"That's good to hear... Where are Xenon and the others?" Maddison inquired.

"They're outside," Kan replied, gesturing towards the window.

Maddison nodded and approached the window, where she saw Xenon and the others conversing.

....

"Ah, finally, it's peaceful again," Blake remarked as he lay on the grass.

They were now in the expansive garden of the palace.

"But I'm still saddened by what happened to our friends," Xenon said, his gaze fixed on the sky.

"They're heroes... Genevieve, Rebeus, Yvess, and Arden... they sacrificed themselves for us," Lilith muttered.

"R-Rain is also a hero. S-She saved me," Zake stuttered.

"You're right," Blake agreed.

"I suddenly miss Sheryl," Heberlin confessed, his voice filled with longing for the woman he had lost.

Xenon placed a comforting hand on Heberlin's shoulder. Heberlin forced a smile.

"We'll never forget them... They'll always be in our hearts," Lilith declared, her words a solemn vow to honor the fallen.

"You're right," Xenon agreed.

They will truly never forget their friends...

.

....

"It's all done," declared the Healer.

"Yes... I'm excited," Blake said with a wide smile.

Due to the severe damage to Stephen's face during their battle, he needed to have his face replaced.

He underwent surgery with a healer vampire expert in facial reconstruction.

"Come on, doc, remove the bandage," Heberlin urged.

"You're all too excited," Stephen said in response to their impatience.

The Healer removed the bandage from Stephen's face, revealing his new appearance.

Maddison's eyes widened in astonishment at the sight of his transformed appearance.

"Wow! Nice. You look more handsome now, bro," Blake commented.

"I must admit, I fancy your current appearance more," Maddison said.

Stephen turned to face his reflection in the mirror.

While ordinary mirrors failed to reflect their images, the meticulously crafted mirrors by vampire artisans provided them with glimpses of their reflection.

A contented smile graced Stephen's lips as he beheld his reflection.

"By the way, where's the King?" Xenon suddenly asked.

"I haven't seen him since yesterday," Maddison responded.

"He's probably busy with his upcoming wedding to Jade," Stephen speculated.

"Oh my! So the rumors about their wedding are true?" Maddison exclaimed.

"We'll have a Queen," Heberlin remarked with excitement.

"I'm genuinely happy for them," Lilith said, her smile reflecting the sentiments of the group.

They all shared in the joy of their friends' upcoming wedding.

Aria entered Cedrick's chamber. It had been days, and he was still not coming out. She found him gazing out the window.

"Why haven't you been coming out? Don't you want to see the others?" Aria asked, approaching him.

"Should I be proud to be one of your kind?" Cedrick's voice carried a hint of bitterness.

Aria's steps faltered, her heart heavy with remorse.

"I-I'm sorry... I understand your lingering anger... but Ced, I love you. That's why I made you a vampire. I couldn't bear to lose you... I love you more than words can express," Aria confessed, tears streaming down her cheeks as she enveloped him in a tearful embrace.

Cedrick closed his eyes and removed Aria's hands from around him. He faced her.

"Do you think I wanted to become a vampire? You betrayed me and then did this..." Cedrick's voice trembled with hurt.

"Don't you love me anymore?" Aria's voice wavered.

Cedrick averted his gaze.

"No... that's why you should leave," he uttered, his tone heavy with sorrow.

Hurt by what he said, Aria left the room, tears clouding her vision.

Cedrick sank onto the bed, the weight of his conflicted emotions bearing down on him.

"I'm sorry... but I can't accept what I've become... I'm sorry," he whispered, tears streaming down his face as he closed his eyes.

....

Jade was observing the entirety of Aznar. Truly, the kingdom of Xylon was vast and expansive.

Suddenly, she felt arms wrap around her from behind, and she couldn't help but smile.

"So, you're here... I've been searching for you everywhere," Xylon's voice came from behind her.

"Oh, come on, there's nothing bad that will happen to me," Jade replied.

Jade had embraced her new identity as a vampire. She was the one who insisted that Xylon turn her into one.

Turning to face Xylon, Jade playfully pinched his nose. "Why are you so handsome?" she teased with a smile.

"Because you're beautiful," Xylon replied, his words sending a warm flush to Jade's cheeks.

"I'm excited for our wedding," Xylon said with excitement.

"Yeah, I can tell... you're super busy," Jade observed.

"I just want our wedding to be grand," he explained before leaning in to kiss Jade tenderly on the lips.

Jade returned the kiss, savoring the moment.

As they parted, Xylon's grin widened.

"But I must admit, I'm even more excited for our honeymoon," he confessed mischievously.

Jade blushed at the thought and playfully hit his arm, eliciting laughter from Xylon.

.

....

There were a lot of vampires in the palace. Today is the day of the union of Jade and King Xylon.

Nobles of all ranks, from Dukes to Knights, and ministers, graced the occasion with their presence.

Xenon and his companions occupied specially designated seats, awaiting the commencement of the ceremony.

The melodic strains of the musicians filled the air, signaling the beginning of the momentous event.

As anticipation mounted, the grand doors swung open, heralding the arrival of the King. Vampires immediately knelt, paying respect to their king.

With dignified grace, Xylon approached the Priest and the newly appointed Chief Minister, who bowed in deference to their king.

A few minutes later, the doors opened again, unveiling Jade's stunning entrance. Impressed and filled with admiration by her beauty, everyone respectfully bowed in acknowledgment of her presence

A smile graced Jade's lips as she stood beside Xylon.

The sacred ceremony commenced.

"You, King Xylon Vladimir Serolf... do you accept Jade as your wife and Queen of the vampire race?" the priest asked.

"Yes, I do," Xylon replied, looking at Jade.

"And you, Lady Jade Crisostomo, do you accept King Xylon as your husband and become a Queen of the vampire race?" the priest asked.

"Yes, I do," Jade replied, smiling at Xylon.

"In that case, I now hold your hands for your blessings and agreement," the priest said.

Xylon and Jade presented their palms to the priest.

The chief minister handed a dagger to Xylon. He took it and wounded his palm, then he pressed his palm against Jade's. Blood dripped onto Jade's palm, leaving a mark.

"That mark will prove that you are now husband and wife, and you belong to the King... no one else can touch you except the King and your family members," the priest said.

The mark served as the vow of fidelity and devotion.

Jade nodded in acknowledgment.

"You may now kiss each other," the priest announced.

With deliberate steps, Xylon closed the distance between himself and Jade.

As their lips met, Jade closed her eyes, savoring the moment of their first kiss as newlyweds.

A chorus of cheers erupted from the gathered crowd, led by the enthusiastic voice of Blake.

"Woohhh! Long live the newlyweds!" they jubilantly exclaimed.

With radiant smiles, Xylon and Jade turned to face their well-wishers, their hearts brimming with joy.

"Long live the beloved King and Queen!"

"Long live the new Queen!"

"Long live the King and Queen!"

With these heartfelt declarations ringing in the air, Xylon enveloped Jade in a warm embrace and bestowed upon her another tender kiss.

In that moment, they were both filled with an overwhelming sense of happiness and contentment, knowing that nothing could separate them again.
