Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Good morning,I guess it's time for me to go have my bath. Well dressed up I am now ,to be honest, six years old me found brushing to be a big deal but not just anymore. I'm on my way to school in Dad's car and then I recall . I was telling you about when I was six . About how nobody could beat me to a race . I grew up not just to love reading, writing, current affairs, volleyball, badminton and most importantly playing chess. 'Have a good day Elvira ' my father called out. Have a great day my superman . I said as I alighted his car.

'Good morning Elvira James.' Oh . Hi Jayden! How was your night? It was a beautiful one to behold. How was yours? Well it wasn't bad . You might be wondering who Jayden is . Let me tell you. One morning on my way to school in Dad's car, we were stuck in a traffic and then went the green light. There came a car whose driver wasn't patient enough to wait for the green light and there after, came and accident. To cut the long story short, the parents who drove that particular car were Jayden's and apparently they were rushing so that he wouldn't be late for school and they for work. Since then, Jayden and I have been very good friends . Oh enough of the long talk. What do we have now Jay? Well Vira , we have Biology now ! I guess that's not your favourite. Fuck you! I exclaimed. I put my arms in his and then we walked down to class .Hi Vira , my classmates echoced as I walked into class. 'Hey guys ' I responded. They were very happy to see me . Well I guess that's just what happens after missing school for a week . Oh I didn't tell you. Well, I broke my ankle or rather I dislocated it and so I was hospitalized for about 5 days. Well I haven't been to school because I gave myself a mini holiday . Funny right? I just needed some good rest and besides school is stressful. I walked down to my seat which was beside Jayden's and sat down. I was really thankful to him because normally, I should have notes to write but he is such a darling . He wrote them for me. While on my seat, my mind travelled to today's date and it reminded me of something. Today is 14th ,july 2016. I recall that Grandma died 3 years ago . Father said she was pretty old and that she needed to rest . Rest in peace Grandma.I whispered. I miss you so much. My mind drifted back to when I was nine . Mama like I did call her was just so happy. My sweet little princess she would call me and I would reply her with the words . Mama Mama! Which was a reminder that she was my Mother's Mother. I remember how she insisted that I take martial arts classes from then and didn't suggest the regular princess style gowns as gifts as my other mates were being gifted. At age 16, I was already a black belt . Someone no one tried to mess with. I bless her for me. I miss her cakes and her words of advice that were as soothing as balm was to cold. Well Grandma has gone to rest. Hmmmm!.

Elvira! Vira! Vira! Elvira James! Jesus Jayden. Why are you screaming my name? Well, look up Madam! When I did, our Bio teacher was already in the class and my head was placed down. I hurriedly bring out my book and start writing whatever the man put on the white board. After the class, I put my head back on my locker. I could hear voices .
