'Why is this happening?!'.
It felt like a dream to Mikeal. Standing there and listening to his father publicly acknowledge him and even proceed to announce his crowning as the crown prince.
It all... Felt like a dream. No, it was a dream. How else was he supposed to explain what was happening? To call it a reality?! No way. That can't be, this cannot be a reality?! It is just... Impossible to be a reality.
Right now, he has a man who has rejected him for as long as can be remembered, sent him far away to a dangerous life only to come here today and stand before the multitude to declare his identity as an heir candidate.
'If that is not a dream, then what is?!'.
It is not about believing or accepting the reality of it. The culmination of events he had strode on to get here does not point to a scene such as this one ever taking place.
