Mikeal and his crew got down from their mounts. The guards that came along with the delegates had already begun setting up the tents in their stead.
There were a lot of them, estimated at least hundreds of guards available.
Mikeal daresay that the guards are another one of the reasons for their slow-paced movements.
How can you have about a hundred plus guards and only about twenty of them are on mounts while the rest are told to walk on foot fully armed and with weapons?!
If you want them on foot at least take away the amour to give their body respite or better still, don't have them tagging along with you on a far journey.
Taking the twenty guards on Mount is enough as they will not slow them down. But it is different for the guards on foot and armour.
Granted their armours are made of leather so they won't be heavy compared to the heavy armour the guards on the mount are doning on. But what about their weapons?
