Now that is one way to make things awkward.

"For real? You lived in a building like this?!".

Vincent wasn't the only one having a difficult time believing what Mikeal just said.

Before his banishment, he had undoubtedly held the title of a prince so how come someone with that title has to live in a secluded rundown mansion?

"Yes, I did".

"But- But you are a prince. Are you not!".

Why would a prince be put through living in isolation?!

Mikeal had not gone as far as explaining the kind of life he led and how he was treated by his father.

They were pretty much kept in the dark about the whole ordeal except the banishment part.

So now hearing him admit to living in such a place is starting to give them an idea of why the nobles had treated Mikeal in that manner.
