"I'm so sorry," she breathes. "Are you okay?"
I nod, my lips curving up. "Thanks to Ares."
"So you and King Reager?" I ask teasing her. She only rolls her eyes but I can see the glint in her eyes when I mentioned his name.
I let out a chuckle, my cheeks flushing. "It happened fast. My head's still spinning." she comments.
"Oh you have fallen for him" I continue to tease her.
"I'd say so. I'm still trying to getting used to this place. Isn't that Tobias? The guard form that night?" she mutters, then her eyes widen. "I forgot to ask him how he's holding up. He lost a good friend."
Right. Tobias had to stop fighting to protect both of us.
The pang of grief hits, and I let the wave move through me. "It was my sister. She was behind the attack."
