Chapter 48: A Satisfied Kill
The world held its breath. The Goblins couldn't move. The humans couldn't move. Even the tiniest insects paused on their tracks– all flinched, caught in the oppressive aura of the Shadow Ogre. Even the wind seemed to hold its course, frightened by the monstrous presence.
Naska, his manic glee forgotten, could only stare in mute incomprehension. This being, towering even above the largest ogre he'd ever seen, possessed features that were way different. He had gigantic tusks, a hulking physique and moreover, it was a living embodiment of shadow itself, its form shifting and swirling like smoke.
The Shadow Ogre raised a massive, inky arm towards Zenda. Seeing this her body screamed at her to flee. But terror had rendered her a statue. Just like others, she was paralyzed in fear.
