Chapter 25: The Narcissit Bozo, All the fangirls await you!

[Feeling a slight pain in your lower limb, you shifted your attention from the screen to the surroundings. It dawned on you that you were in the middle of the battlefield. In front of you were hundreds of goblins holding weapons made of stones and wood.]

[They charged towards the ogres and ganged up, a situation not so different for you. You found yourself surrounded by numerous goblins. However, you spotted a difference - the goblins hesitated to do anything to you, seemingly scared and failing to approach any closer.]

[It took you 2 seconds to adjust to the situation. You swung your club towards the goblins, efficiently killing 7 in just one attack.]

[Your movement was slightly hampered due to the crowded battlefield. While killing 5 more goblins, you carefully observed your surroundings and realized the main battle was yet to start.]

[The Ogre King and the Goblin King were going to have a face-off. With this in mind, you questioned yourself, "What am I doing down here?"]

[The sun was overhead, indicating it was nearly noon. Anticipating the upcoming use of necromantic and zombification powers by the goblin and the ogre king in the dark, you realized there was still plenty of time.]

[With determination, you decided to use this opportunity to massacre the goblins and enhance your reputation. Focusing on the incoming attackers, you wielded your gigantic club and initiated a massacre saga, relentlessly using your skills for another 5 hours.]

[After 5 hours, the results were as follows: 194 goblins killed; 30 Hobgoblins killed; 4 flies killed; 2 worms killed. Reading the notification, you found it amusing as you sensed your growing strength. As it didn't directly impact your real body, you didn't find it particularly enjoyable.]

[The goblins had retreated, providing some time for your warriors to cool off. Seated on a colossal stone, you took a much-needed rest.]

[One by one, a diverse array of ogres approached. Initially, you thought they sought conversation, but they joined you in resting, their eyes reflecting profound respect.]

[As your body emitted steam, enhancing your aura, the skill transforming you from green to red during battle became the town's hot topic. Despite witnessing it before, they couldn't resist discussing it. You looked cool and strong to them.]

[Numerous female ogres indulged in fangirling over you. Laiya, initially indifferent, grew displeased as you waved at the fangirls.]

[You noticed her pouting. With folded hands, she stared at you, but as your gaze met, she averted her eyes instantly.]

[Sighing, you shook your head gently. It didn't seem to be your fault, but explaining that to Laiya was a challenge. Averting your gaze, you observed ogres peeking glances at you.]

[While most looked away, one ogre, named Ijan, smirked and chuckled while staring at you. Confused, you asked, "What's wrong?" Your words caught others' attention, and they turned to look at you and then Ijan.]

["Brother~," Ijan started, continuing in the same soft, gentle, and teasing tone, "Is something going on with you and the Lord's daughter?" - he gave a side-eye as he said that.]

["N-nothing like that!" you stammered in response to the unexpected question. Your nervous answer inadvertently seemed like proof, justifying Ijan's suspicion.]

["Come on, Brother, tell us the truth. We will support your marriage! What do you say, brothers?" Ijan looked at the other ogres, as if he had just announced the news to them.]

[Without hesitation, others immediately replied, "Of course!" "Yes!" and "Surely!" one after another.]

[You facepalmed at the stupidity of the situation. Your thoughts were focused on the upcoming battle, yet these ogres seemed unfazed and invented something random.]

["Listen, even if I liked her, it's not as if she likes me too. Besides-" just as you finished saying this, trying to divert attention with the next sentence, Ijan intervened.]

["Aha! So you do like her! Come on, boys, let's become the wing-ogres for Brother!" Ijan hyped up the situation.]

["Uff, it's not the time for jokes," you frowned in annoyance. Worried about your missions, you wanted to focus on the impending challenges.]

["What are you worried about, Brother Chilly?" Ijan asked as he looked at you, casually resting his elbow on a stone and putting his club down. His nonchalant attitude surprised you.]

["The goblins have retreated. With their combined forces not exceeding 5,000, and having already slain over 2,000 in the past three battle days, if they rush again, we'll charge and defeat them. For now, we can rest," you noticed every ogre in your group agreed with Ijan's words.]

[You nodded, realizing he wasn't entirely wrong. However, there was something you couldn't quite get used to—a weird feeling.]

[Goblins retreating was expected, but if that's their sole strategy, there seemed little chance for them to win. Surely, the goblin king isn't that foolish. You pondered this for nearly five minutes while the ogres in your group chatted joyfully, sharing their accomplishments.]

[It wasn't too late; you sensed something was missing. To sharpen your intellect, you used the skill you had chosen previously after careful consideration—Limited Tactical Awareness.]

[You remembered selecting this skill because you believed goblins and ogres couldn't match the intelligence of humans. If the simulation led to a challenging situation, having a skill to enhance your cognitive abilities and better understand tactics seemed important.]

[Although it was merely a test, the impact of the skill on you was uncertain. Why not utilize it in the simulation to evaluate its effectiveness?]

[Recognizing this as the optimal opportunity, you decided to activate the skill.]

[Your pupils outlined in bright white as the skill activated. Initially dilating, they then constricted, this cycle repeating for about ten seconds.]

[For some reason, your mind went blank, feeling light like a feather carried by the wind currents. Simultaneously, a strange heaviness burdened you, defying description.]

['Hoho, I'm the smartest being in the world,' you thought—not the smartest, but certainly a narcissist. Is this how extra brain matter alters a person?]
