In the midst of his hysterical family, Lucien's eyes searched the room for two women—Brigantia and Lithira. But they were nowhere to be found.
"Where are Brigantia and Lithira?" he asked.
His family, who had stopped their chatter at his question, exchanged uneasy glances. Their worried expressions made Lucien's heart sink.
He furrowed his brows. "They… left the village, right?" he asked hesitantly, afraid of the truth—that the women he loved had simply moved on after his death.
"Well, they did leave, but... for different reasons," Seren said, scratching her cheek awkwardly as Lucien waited for her to continue.
"They asked for your hair and blood before heading into the forest. We haven't seen them since," Cassius added.
"We're not sure what they're planning, but they must have had something in mind—perhaps a ritual," Amane suggested, nodding.
"Maybe they wanted to revive you," Seren speculated.
