"WHAT?! You said you won't revive me?!" Lucien lifted his brows, genuinely annoyed. If the Trashman could revive him, why didn't he just do it from the start?
"I knew you wouldn't listen to all my story if you knew I could just revive you," the Trashman shrugged.
"Well, you have a point," Lucien admitted, averting his gaze. If he could have been revived immediately, he wouldn't have paid attention to the old man's tale.
"Now, about the dead man situation... You'll understand more from the Herald," the Trashman said, taking something out of his pocket. It was a half-crystal ball, small and translucent, like a bubble.
"This is your imperfect soul. I don't know what will happen if I revive you while the other half of your soul is with the Sage of Deprivation."
"I just hope you don't end up like my friend," he said, placing the glowing soul fragment in Lucien's hand.
