Lucien opened his eyes to a blinding light. What lay before him was not what he had expected.
He was in the dining room, and the table was overflowing with meat, vegetables, various dishes, and wine.
His family and his companions were there, laughing and celebrating something he didn't recognize. It was a warm and joyous scene that he had missed dearly over the past few days.
'Is this... the void? How?' he wondered.
He furrowed his brows, searching for the source of the voice. As he looked to his side, a small light floated near him, gradually taking form. It transformed into a fluffy white ball with a cute, smiling face.
To Lucien, however, it was creepy as hell.
"What the hell..." he muttered under his breath.
