Chapter 174 - The Dark Night

The two men glared at each other, the tension between them palpable. The fire crackled behind them, accompanied by the sound of collapsing houses. The moonlight cast a stark glow, illuminating their readied weapons.

Cassius, an Archer class, was equipped with long-range weaponry. However, the man in front of him, cloaked in a dark robe and brandishing daggers, was clearly an assassin. He clenched his gun, eyeing the man suspiciously.

"Are you really a dark mage? Where is your staff?" he sneered.

The problem with archers was their vulnerability in close combat, and the man with daggers posed a significant threat.

The robed man discarded his cloak, revealing a face marred with scars, bald, and with sharp black eyes glaring menacingly at him.

"Dark mage is a foolish term made by the lowly human. We are more than that." he spat.

Cassius smirked, scoffing, "Lowly human? Stop talking about yourself you dumbass."
