Both women looked startled by Amane's reaction. They hadn't expected her to be on their side. This might be the right time to seek advice from an outside perspective.

"Ah, it's not entirely Lucien's fault. We share some of the blame," Brigantiea admitted, rubbing her arm.

"Yeah, we pushed him too hard. He must be disappointed in our actions," Lithira added.

Amane raised an eyebrow. "What's wrong with both of you? Really? You're too kind. I don't know what happened, but Lucien must have triggered it."

"That damned son of mine, acting like everything is fine while he's just terrible at expressing his feelings and bottling them up."

"Just tell me, did he lash out at you?" Amane's eyes narrowed, her voice serious. She didn't want her son to harm his wives because of his pent-up emotions.
