"What are you doing here?" Lucien asked, approaching his father who still use that dirty white tux.
"Patrolling for poachers, of course. What do you think I'm doing?" Cassius replied nervously, a bead of sweat forming on his temple.
Lucien squinted, sensing his father was lying, but decided to stay quiet. He sat beside him, looking up at the sky. The moon was perfectly round and big.
The moon of Nereideia was much larger than Earth's, encircled by a transparent rainbow. It was beautiful but made him miss Earth, the world he belonged to.
Lucien remembered his days of partying with friends, making connections, and ensuring his GPA was at least 3.5. Those were happy days, and now he felt stuck.
He took a deep breath, prompting Cassius to glance at him. "Something happened?"
Lucien hesitated, unsure if his father would judge or mock him. But he needed someone to talk to, someone to listen.
