Brigantiea and Lithira gasped, their shock palpable. Lucien's behavior towards Rosetta now made sense, leaving them feeling deeply disappointed and hurt.

Anger surged within them, not only because he hadn't told them sooner but because it was Rosetta—that bitch—who revealed the truth.

They had suspected Lucien might want to add another woman to the harem eventually, but they never liked Rosetta. She always seemed to be hiding something, her motives suspicious.

"But she will never be part of my harem, even until I die. Our relationship is purely business, and this engagement is fake," Lucien tried to explain, moving closer to them. But they stepped away, their expressions making his heart ache.
