The rain would obscure any trails, making it difficult even for police dogs to track, and the terrain would become harder to navigate, giving him more options to hide the body.

The third consideration was how to lure Louis into the forest. He knew a part of the forest where children were forbidden to play due to the presence of bears and homeless people.
