Chapter 92 - Gibson Companion Quest: Regret

The only dowry the Greenwoods provided was a tattered small manor on the outskirts of town. Before the wedding, Gibson had already repaired the manor and employed two maids solely for Eve.

He didn't want her to live in poverty, so he did his best to provide everything she wanted, despite his limitations.

However, Eve never asked for anything. She even tailored her clothes, and whenever he inquired why, she simply said it was her hobby.

Eve no longer attended balls or parties, which disheartened him. Even when he bought her jewelry, she always insisted on saving it for future use.

Her modest lifestyle deeply troubled Gibson, prompting him to work overtime to earn as much money as possible. His hard work paid off, and he quickly became one of Geoffrey's most trusted men.

Eve often found herself alone and lonely at home. One day, she asked Gibson for some free time together, but he was late and forgot about it.
