Lucien's eyes widened in disbelief. "Excuse me? How could I possibly assist with that? I don't possess any special powers, nor am I a genius capable of overthrowing your father."
Rosetta gazed up at the ceiling, contemplating for a moment before responding with a smile. "True, you may not possess those qualities, but this is a task only you can fulfill. So, what do you say?" she inquired.
Lucien raised an eyebrow, skeptical of Rosetta's vague reasoning. What unique ability did she think he possessed? Did she suspect he wasn't from this world? And if so, why choose him?
"Lady Rosetta, while I appreciate the offer, your reasoning seems rather... dubious. What exactly is it that you believe I can do that others cannot?"
Rosetta leaned back in her chair, a smirk playing on her lips. "I want you to become my fiancé."
The request caught Lucien off guard. "Please don't jest with me. I've already told you, I have wives. I cannot become your fiancé."
